You know, some people have an indie reputation to keep up and they don't want their indie friends to find a couple of GaGa's tunes between their Pitchfork-approved Vampire Weekend scrobbles...
These are the most frequently deleted tracks by the Last.fm community from their scrobbles in June 2009. I call it "Last.fm's Guilty Pleasures chart":
1. Lady GaGa – "Poker Face"
2. Britney Spears – "Womanizer"
3. Katy Perry – "I Kissed a Girl"
4. Lady GaGa – "Just Dance"
5. Britney Spears – "Circus"
Feel free to share your guilty scrobbles in the comments, you will not be judged.

Poor Lady GaGa she had 4 songs in the top 10 most deleted list.
Recently I've had a purge of Paul Weller.

I would delete Lady Gaga from popular culture if I could. I think it's pretty funny that this feature exists. People are so concerned about how others will judge them based on their musical tastes. I like a person who will stand up for their tastes, as eclectic as they may be.

hilarious.

.. runs to see what embarrassing scrobbles lurk within the last.fm closet :)

People should just own up to what they like. I don't believe in guilty pleasures. Good music is good music. If you enjoy a song thats all that matters.

This is so funny. I had some people that I was not very well aquatinted with want to look at my last.fm page, so I deleted an artist. It was Dog Fashion Disco. Kind of the slimy and sleazy used car salesmen of music, but there is something guiltily pleasurable about the juxtaposition of horrid lyrics with, at times, very happy circus like music. I didn't want anyone to get the wrong impression of me.

I didn't know you could delete scrobbles. I thought that only deleting you could do was when you'd ban a song from ever playing again if you tried listening to "My Recommendations". huh, you learn something new everyday.
Having the option to delete scrobbles is stupid. If you don't want people to know about the skeletons in your musical closet, why are you on a network that shares what you listen to? In addition to that, what you like is what you like. Someone else's opinion on it shouldn't change yours.
I have a wide range of things that I'm not embarrassed to say I have. There are songs from Spongebob, Dethklok, REM, Black Eyed Peas, and a number of other acts one wouldn't guess I'd know exist, let alone listen to.

Ummm...I think I can top you ALL:
I can go from My Chemical Romance to Peter Cetera.
Maybe because I grew up in the 80s I can travel such large stretches which defy the imagination!
Ooops Guilty Pleasure revealed! :-/

i'm an unapologetic lady gaga fan. go ahead, take my indie card away and subject me to public ridicule. she's not getting deleted from mine, however incongruous she looks sandwiched in between the other, hipster-approved items.
-
Lady Gaga is such manufactured rich girl rubbish, and is totally vapid in real life. Interviewing her was an hour of my life that I will never get back, I can't stand her.
-
Interesting how the vast majority of the charts are lady singers.
Maybe most of Last.fm's users are burly alpha-men who only listen to METAL?
-
Even though Last.fm users seem so keen on deleting their Gaga scrobbles, at the moment "Poker Face" is the only exception in an MJ-dominated chart...
