Democratic strategists went home and the nascent 2012 re-election campaign was wound down as the former Republican vice-presidential candidate stepped down as governor due to falling popularity at home and blatant positioning for a presidential run.

Are you kidding me? Sarah Palin was NOT a threat to Obama's reelection at any moment. She has the "base" behind her, but she has no real ability to win over any swing voters, and if you can remember as far back as November 2008, she is largely blamed for McCain's loss in the Presidential Elections. *sigh*

Palin is about to go into a shit storm.

You can say that again.

Oh man, I'd almost forgotten how grating her bullshit dialect is...

I find it odd that people credit Obama with a ton of stuff that was already getting finalized before he was even president.
I mean sure you can argue he had a part in the senate (as if the senate actually does anything) but to act like so many things were done by him as president before he was even president is kind of silly.
Namely the Bailouts.
Yes he has had a part in the newer stuff, but a ton of bailouts were already being closed before he was even president :P.

Obama will only get re-elected if we get out of this depression. If twenty percent of the population is unemployed, then he is going to have a hard time pulling wool over their eyes a second time.
-
Obama only INHERITED the mess. It's been MORE than 8 years in the making, back with all the Reagan deregulations. It'll take more than a few months to straighten things out.

one can only hope
