Pfffft. Yeah, kind of figures that Palin would be the only Governor in the United States to not have the faintest notion of the laws on defamation as they relate to public figures.
A sitting Governor who just ran for the Vice Presidency and has strongly encouraged speculation that she will be running for the Presidency in 2012 aburptly quits a position of high responsibility and explains her reasons in just about the vaguest possible terms (she is going to do "something" to "work for our children's future" "outside government"). Does she know what she is going to do or not? If so, why not just say what it is? If not, why not just say she has not fully decided yet? But to do neither and then say that speculation that something might be amiss is defamatory to her character...can you spell "clueless?"
And really now, given the quality of her character, what could someone say that could possibly FURTHER defame it? Although I STILL say she is just going to get herself a more powerful set of binoculars so she can keep an eye on the suspicious activities of those "Russkies" across the Palin Channel on a full-time basis...
Batshit-insane...heh, kind of rolls of the tongue where she is concerned doesn't it?...
