Poor guy went down in slow motion, it was a valiant effort to stay upright but you can't beat gravity.

I never had problems with any of this stuff. But when my youngest and I got on the people mover @ the airport she freaked out. I couldn't get back off because we were in a crowd. I tried to pick her up but she screamed louder. As we attempted to get off the tip of her tennis shoe lace got stuck in the grid off the platform submerging into the floor.I was trying to calm her down and get her loose when a security guard hit a button up under the railing to turn it off. We then had to unlace her shoe to remove it from her foot because it was taut.
I am always calm in the face of adversity, but this happened so fast I couldn't get her loose and calm her down.
Up until the day before my daughter handled the escalators and people movers with little thought but a trip to the mall with her grandmother did her undoing.
My mom mentioned how scary those things could be and what could go wrong! TADA!If you have fear or a balance or even a sight problem these moving things can disorient you, the guard at the airport said this happens frequently everyday that's why the button to turn it off. She said they all have them and anyone can stop them to use them in cases like I've mentioned.
Thanks for the site.
BTW I was told to walk up to the escalator, lift my dominate foot and step on just like you would going up a flight of stairs.( I never had problems and neither did my children until that day!!!)
