And here's why: the 8-minute clip was in fact pirated from The Hurt Locker. Which is a shame, especially when it comes to a movie like this.

I think the humor here is that the Renaissance would have never happened had copyright laws existed back then.
Every great artist (yes even Leonardo himself) copied just about everyone around them so far as to occasionally copy nearly line to line from another artist's work.
It can be argued this was to gain understanding and to expand on skills but that would not be a legitimate excuse these days as even schools fear lawsuits.
The Intellectual copyright protections across the world have humorously enough retarded creativity and have made certain that there will never again be a Renaissance (as long as they exist).
