How can you be more sexual, more intimate, and even more orgasmic, but not have sexual intercourse? Would you believe that the answer to this sex riddle is “outercourse?”

Most people don’t know that this alternative to intercourse can benefit their sex lives in so many ways. Whether you’re seeking to abstain, practice safer sex or spice things up, the red hot sexual exchanges involved are well worth exploring.

Outercourse is the umbrella term for any kind of sex play that doesn’t involve oral or traditional sex. It has been highlighted as a means to sexual gratification by safer sex proponents for years. It’s ideal in minimizing the spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and the risk of pregnancy, although the method is not completely foolproof – depending on how much clothing you keep on. Depending on the layers between you and your lover, you may still want to use a condom while practicing this method.

Lovers of all ages and in all sorts of relationships may engage in outercourse for any number of reasons, finding it ideal when:

— They want to abstain from intercourse.

I'm sorta liking the original methods but then why make choices?

Waitaminnit. The opposite of outercourse would not be INTERcourse, it would be INNERcourse. INTERcourse means that the act occurs BETWEEN the participants -- not INSIDE them (yes, intercourse does involve a certain amount of...spelunking...but that is not what the word means.

But I am supportive of the rest of the ideas here. My theory is that once one gets past the biological imperative (has kids), it is time to take matters to a whole new level.

My genetic material has been passed, and they are making the honor roll each quarter, so we probably won't have to call for a "do-over." Without that urgency, why NOT take the time to experiment, engage all the senses, communicate...take all day, all night, and all the next day...did you really think "sick leave" was for being sick?!

The biggest sexual organ of the body IS the BRAIN. So outercourse is titillating.
People used to be able to flirt this way between two 'consenting' adults and have a great stimulating time but since the frequent litigations for harassment no one dares to try.
A little verbal titillating sparing is great to start your brain functioning and getting that blood flowing! Better than a cup of coffee!
