F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone says sorry for Adolf Hitler comments
Under-fire Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone has apologised unreservedly for the controversial remarks he made about the infamous former Fuhrer ahead of this weekend's German Grand Prix.
The pint-sized billionaire told the Jewish Chronicle that he was an idiot for saying that dictators like Hitler "got things done" and he was sorry for any offence he'd caused.
He has so far survived calls for him to resign from his position as the most powerful man in motor-racing but he has been snubbed by some German officials ahead of the race at the Nurburgring this Sunday.
