The debate started on a Sunday and ended officially on the following Saturday. One whole week of debating was exhausting but nonetheless engaging. Although at times the person I was debating against often employed the use of rhetoric and a slew of fallacies in their argument, and this includes sweeping generalizatio....

    Poor.

    Also,

    then>than

I'm not sure you were right on any single point, but it doesn't look like it goes beyond what's listed as the first exchange.

So a workers party is the end result of that and who would lead the workers party?

But i think it should go much deeper than that.

Interesting how for both words, socialism and capitalism, their values are suggested in their etymology.

How do these bullshit articles from the peacefreedomprosperity crowd get immediately placed at a high ranking, usually in the top ten, with hardly any comments? I thought that current's rankings were supposed to be based on popularity of and interest in the article.

So in other words, Numinant, they're cheating the system to push their own propaganda? Why should I view anything from them to have any credibility?

I get it now. You can manually add people to a notification list when you post articles. Then when everyone clicks the article, its status skyrockets.

Then I would advise all regular posters to this site to begin doing the same thing in order to balance out the article ratings field again. Constantly seeing an article posted from the so-called "peacefreedomprosperity" mob instantly falling within the top ten lends them an air of credibility which might not otherwise be there.

Libertarians quite often turn out to be scammers at heart. Much of the philosophy includes the absence of law. It can be very attractive to people who like to predate on others.

There are plenty of articles we post that don't get voted to the top....you only complain on the articles you see.....

Thanks for researching the other side of the political spectrum....which I hope you have done.....

P.S. I used to be a democrat 8 years ago....

I am not sure why the articles get voted up so quickly....but maybe it has something to do with the People voting most of the articles up. I am sorry that you are upset that we are not censored and that we should have the freedom of speech.

A Libertarian does not condone the absence of law, but the Constitutional use, thereof.

    isnamthere....

Is it our fault if people like the article and share it with others who support freedom? Are we to be punished because the articles do so well? It just sounds like the complaining the republicans did when they said libertarians "ruined" the election...truth is, it's the democrats and republicans lobbyists and special interest groups that have upset a lot of people and help them lose their own elections. I don't know what you want us to say but we have every right, just as much as anybody, to post up articles and have them debated. You can complain to current for not censoring us but you cannot blame us because others like the article and share it. Once again, articles like this happen to get voted up, others don't...it's not like we are taking up the top 5 spots on current for goodness sakes.....we might be lucky to get 1 article into the top....whatever....

Yeah, the articles"do so well" just like the 100's of spam emails I get in my box every day do so well. What you innocently call "sharing" is nothing but spamming done by a few to make it seem like hundreds are digging the article. You are frauds!

isnamthere- I appreciate your frustration but commenting on the story only gives it a higher rating!

Debating with a socialist is like debating with a Jehovah's Witness. They are absolutely convinced that you are lost and going to hell and that the only way you can avoid hell is to join their organization is to become an adherent. Thus it is with socialists. One of the founding freedoms we had was a very limited role of government. Under Obama, this is being discarded, and we have government oversight for nearly every part of our existence. Why people embrace the "it takes a village" philosophy is beyond me. I like my freedom, thanks, but no thanks.

You seem to have a serious problem isnamthere.

If you don't like the story or if you don't like who posts the story then don't read it and don't comment.

It's not the Freedom and Prosperity Movements fault that there stories get just ONE top spot.

I don't see how ONE top story makes us or them "frauds".

Just because the story doesn't fit in with your idea of what a good story should be doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way.
Comments don't make a story go up in ranks, voting it up or down does that (I believe).

why do the conservative bashing articles seem to make it to the top despite being full of horseshite?

I was told recently by a contributor that Current is an atheist, gay, dope smoking and liberal medium.
If I do not like it, log out.
I expect the controllers of Current fit this category.
So deal with it or move on.
