Here's where things turn sideways for Ms Shay and her party. After the infamous White House watermelon patch picture followed by the blacked out presidential portrait featuring a set of eyeballs depicting our 44th President and that catchy spiritual "Barack the Magic Negro" the Republicans seem to have trouble shaking their racist label, for some odd reason. Ms Shay helped their cause by responding to a "friend" named Eric from Face Book that thinks "we" need to take back the country from the "coons and illegals", the exact quote is;
“Obama Bin Lauden [sic] is the new terrorist… Muslim is on there side [sic]… need to take this country back from all of these mad coons… and illegals.”
To which Ms Shay responded "You tell em Eric! lol.
Unfortunately for Ms Shay some of her other followers weren't as comfortable with Eric's enthusiasm and voiced there concerns. Ms Shay promptly DE-friended the dissenters. Keeping Eric as a buddy. As the concerns grew Ms Shay went into damage control and said she hadn't read the entire quote and was responding to something Eric had said previously even though she responded a full eight minutes after his racist remarks. The debate flared with Ms Shay attempting to dance on the head of a pin and Eric helping her with this parting remark;
“This is still America… freedom of speech and thought is still allowed… for now any ways… and the last time i checked I was a good ole southern boy… and if yur ass is black don’t let the sun set on it in a southern town…”
Good luck in your endeavor to become chairman of your fine upstanding Christian organization Ms Shay and political aspiration with the GOP.

... Wow.

Wow is right. We all know democrats could never be so racist. Who opposed Civil Rights in the 60's? All democrats- as Thomas Sowell has said, the whole ethos of the Jim Crow era was perpetuated by the democrats. Byrd was a member of the Klan. Bull Connor? Loyal democrat. Martin Luther King himself was a Republican. Ever notice the racist caricatures that editorial cartoonists use when drawing Condaleeza rice, Clarence Thomas, etc.? All these cartoonists are loyal leftists. Nothing is more despised by the Left than conservative Black Americans. The racism comes out of the closet, and the Left reveals their true, paternalistic feelings. Ugh.

I am new to the freedom movement, the fastest way to turn me off is to start acting like Libs or Cons, save the labels and attacks and focus on freedom focus on what brings us together.

Racism Runs Rampant in the GOP
This title alone is enough to make me want to break something, FOCUS ON FREEDOM, NOT NAME CALLING!!
-
Typical. When they refer to the party base, they mean the rich and the biggoted.

They're racist because they don't agree with Barack Obama, how orginal. Gee, I never heard that one before. Do Obama groupies ever get tired of playing the race card? How long can a society based on screaming "I'm a victim" actually last anyway?
-
Rascism is a part of conservatism. It's what they do, and it's what they are. Rascism in one form or another is a central, yet often unspoken, plank in the platform of the GOP. It won't stop until the entire, bloated, face of the party is ground into the dirt. It appears that is precisely what is happening to America's newest regional party of the South. Have you ever seen someone grind their own face into the dirt? It's fun!
-
If you removed the "southern strategy" plank from the GOP there would be virtually no GOP left. it's an undercurrent that moves the entire base...euphemisms such as 'states rights", school vouchers, etc are thinly veiled desires for a return to the days of segregated schools, discrimination in the workplace and all the other miserable humiliations that used to be accepted...they are just having a difficult time realizing that their day is over and it's a change that cannot be reversed.
-
This is not about either one of the two party system this diverse country gets to pick their leader from..or at least think they do...I read where people were so much healthier...thousands of years ago...they had hardly any of the problems faced by the highly developed humans of today...worried about finances...taxes...new illnesses around every corner...it also said that their heads were much broader...no sinus problems...no teeth problems or diabetes beacuse they left the white powder alone...Sugar....so it seems that minds and heads are becoming narrow...so if this keeps happening then soon humans ears will touch...and there are many in this world...every party and walk of life that are so narrow minded that their ears should be touching now...and most are programming their children to hate the same things they hated because their programmers hated them...and so forth....so there is evolution...humans are just marching on the most part in the wrong direction...and giving Hell to all those few they meet trying to go in the right direction....Golden Ruler...Will

So, let me get this straight......The headline for this story is "Racism runs Rampant in the Republican Party." Then there is a single example of racist behavior by a single person who is PROCLAIMED by a non Republican to be an "up an comer" in the Republican Party, and THIS qualifies the headline?
This is mud slinging, and a FAR cry from journalism. This is an assinine attack and not a news story backed by any facts. Sensationalism at best.
(No, I am not a republican, I am a Socialist. I just despise political liars.)
-
I never thought I would say this to a Socialist, but,
your right. All of this Conservative and Liberal or Rep/Dem crap gets annoying sometimes.
But, sadly, I have been a part of it before.
Anyway, good eye.

Unbelievable, sickening to the core. I come from a mixed family and this is just horrible. I just wanted to state, I have met my fair share of racist republicans AND democrats, but this lady is seriously horrible. America is a land of immigrants and immigrants bring in their own demand into the economy. What is truly sad is how People can't understand that both parties are truly off course and our Nation and world are steering back towards the Dark Ages of monarchy and big government slavery. What we need is a lot less price distorting government and a lot more personal liberty and equilibrium competitive markets that protect against an interventionist foreign policy and that does not allow the bureaucrats to manipulate the currency base propping up malinvestment while also levitating money from the poor to the rich through corporate welfare! oh well....

In the end, it doesn't matter who is democrat, Liberal, conversative, or republican, but people can just be plain racist, no matter what...

I'm going to disagree with a few folks here.
To be racist you must by design be conservative. You must accept a core set of values with absolutely no flexibility and stick with those values for as long as possible.
Now with that being said. If you think you are conservative and you aren't racist that is because you aren't a conservative.
Likewise if you think you are a liberal but are racist that is because you aren't a liberal.
THAT being said there is nothing positive about being on either side of the docket. Making decisions based on a set of prescribed rules is a foolish way to live your life.
Anyone who doesn't make decisions based on their own personal thoughts and understandings is an idiot. Period. This is the only thing I'm really staunch about and if you think about it it is hard to argue with. Since anything else is just being a drone (by definition).
What people seem to have difficulty understanding is that they are almost always moderate. Moderation is the most common form of life desire in the world. You may want a whole lot of something but you don't necessarily want a whole lot of everything. It all equals out into an average pool of decency.
The 4 corners of the ring, Democrat, Republican, Liberal, and Conservative are all very poor choices to make in life. Because by choosing them you set yourself up to have decisions made for you instead of by you.
A smart person, or really a person at all, should never align themselves to any of these options. They aren't even supposed to be life styles anyways they are supposed to be end result descriptors not unlike a thermometer.
The thermometer doesn't make it hot outside it just tells you when it is hot. Just like a person shouldn't act liberal because they identify as one but they may be described as one because of how they as a person decide to live. It'll likely be wrong and short sighted but worst case scenario that's the only time someone should be labeled as one of those four edges.
There is no personal power to be found in living your life by others beliefs.

This is stupid. Why would you post this unless to further divide the country?
-
Anyone with a brain that can read a little between the lines and listens to Mush Limbra and Rove and the like can tell these people are very Myopic Racists! Like someone has said it is what they do. As if the color of a persons skin determines the persons Charater or Brains or any other thing different than another person with a different color skin, how arrogrant can a person be? Because you are whit you are better?(LOL)

I don't even know where to start on this one. Here we have a young woman who would like to one day head a national party and instead of standing up and calling the man out on his racist comments she agrees with him by saying "you tell em Eric! lol" I mean really? Is this the party that we want back in power in the U.S? As a young black male who is a citizen of the United States I would like to state my total shock and horror that events like this are still taking place in the early twenty first century. I hope that one day we move past such hurtful ways of thinking.

It's just so f(*cking sad that we still have this kind of flagrant racism in this country. Keep bringing this kind of story to our eyes, maybe education will make a change for generations to come...

Racist : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.
White think this way.
Blacks think this way.
Latino think this way.
Oriental think this way.
Persian's think this way.
Indian's (i don't mean the cowboy type) think this way.
I am sure I have missed soem pigment type, sry, not trying to be racist.Everybody is racists, only comfortable with their own culture.
