I must agree, like FOX Bill is a train wreck his show is Garbage ( i have seen it ) & as for Fox , they should go back WNEW & show WONDERAMA ( remember that ? ) .
-
He might be an icon music and performance wise but still stop cluttering with this shit about the man hes dead, let him be dead, notice that other celebrity died and no one is talking about him or her,put some real news up not shit about MJ.
-
Don't get me wrong I think old Bill's a nasty piece of work, but in this case he makes some good points that it seems no one else has the balls to even discuss...

What is everybody talking about? Bill-o the Clown as well as everyone else on the Fox Comedy Network are doing a great job. Providing a great template for exactly what we as a nation should be moving away from and never again indulging in. Propoganda, fear mongering, hypocrisy, ignorance, the list goes on and on. So keep the laughs coming boys!

I can't believe I'm actually typing this, but I agree with Bill... but ONLY on his points about the media in this piece. I think of anyone who's lived in the last 50 years, MJ has been one of the biggest victims of the ruthless media machine.

The ruthless media machine that Faux News has been a part of?

not saying that hes right or that i agree with him bu the dictionary defines an icon as:
icon |ˈīˌkän|
noun
a painting of Jesus Christ or another holy figure, typically in a traditional style on wood, venerated and used as an aid to devotion in the Byzantine and other Eastern Churches.
• a person or thing regarded as a representative symbol of something : this iron-jawed icon of American manhood.
• Computing a symbol or graphic representation on a video display terminal of a program, option, or window, esp. one of several for selection.
• Linguistics a sign whose form directly reflects the thing it signifies, for example, the word snarl pronounced in a snarling way.
ORIGIN mid 16th cent. (in the sense [simile] ): via Latin from Greek eikōn ‘likeness, image.’ Current senses date from the mid 19th cent. onward.Im not sure how MJ fits into any of these definitions..!?

Remember this it idiot that was impressed blacks could use utensils and not use profanity while ordering ice tea.

"a train wreck waiting to happen" funny that expression was used here, I heard that expression used multiple times on major news channels right after Michael died, by people that knew him well!. : {

• a person or thing regarded as a representative symbol of something : MJ , the king of pop.

I agree that you can see fine pieces of grass in the shit Bill spews.
I agree that you're not a racist if you knock Michael, but it's still not appropriate at this time, almost as inappropriate as, like Bill said, the wall to wall media coverage right now.

take this; bill o'suckely....
-
He should tell that to the thousands who watched Mj's memorial in Times Square

Why was he an icon? Because of his obscene wealth and love of materialism? Because he was a pedophile? (Perversion in various forms seems to be quite popular nowadays!) Compare him to another "icon"- Farrah Fawcett. Where is the 24/7 coverage for her? There isn't any. Her coverage lasted for no more than a day after her death. Why? Easy! She was (GASP!!) a Catholic. Yep. Thusly, she was all but ignored by the media after death. She had a Mass of Christian Burial in (GASP!) a Catholic church! MJ had the socially accepted "non-denominational" generic service. That shows how messed up our country is.

As an icon MJ, unfortunately, represents the decadence and selfishness that pervades United States culture. I hope this hero worship is for his contribution to music and not for his behavior.
-
Best thing to do is just to ignore Bill. He'll only keep pushing his views on the matter further to keep the ratings up by annoying the MJ fans.
The debate about MJ's iconship was likely to happen at some point, but to start it near the date of the funeral is vile. -
Bill O'Reilly is without a doubt an arrogant carnival barker that usually shouts down his opposition rather than making logical points.
However, in this case he is actually dead on.
While it is indisputable that Michael Jackson is an icon for his music, Michael Jackson the man was an absolute train wreck of a person.
In death he is being deified in a way that completely ignores his pedophilia, he bizarre obsession with. changing his race and appearance. The same media that created his superstardom helped destroy him, which is a tragedy, but people should not separate the man's music from his actions in life. Simply because he was a legendary entertainer should not give him a free pass on his actions off the stage.
He made legendary music, but as a person, is not worth being remembered positively.
-
Atleast O'Reilly says how he feels and if you don't like the man don't watch his show.

Bill talks the truth, but its so funny because its about himself. He mentions the "cowardly" American media spinning stories (like the mj story) for profit as if he does not do the same thing.
This guy thinks too highly of himself, someone inflict the reality upon him.

You know what ,,It is really ironic how the African American public seem to have forgotten that Michael Jackson did everything possible to remove his Blackness from his exterior shell. Did he turn his back on his real idenity because that is what he felt his public wanted ? Or was it what he wanted ? Only Michael Jackson knew that ,or did he ? I surely hope the African American public will have a better candidate than Michael Jackson to represent the honor of being black in America than Mr. Jackson. As far as Bill O Riley and Fox goes ,,they are, after all fair and balanced ...Not many others are any more,, and why the hell not? Wake up people ! for the sake of America ..Fox is the only network that tells it like it is ,,no bullshit lies!...what happened to real journalism?

I only agree with his media points... but in my opinion, everyone is a Michael Jackson fan even if you say you're not. Why? Well, because each and everyone of you knows all or part of his Thriller dance moves, you've all attempted and still do the moon walk to try and impress people, even if you can't dance you will do something from Michael Jackson when his song is playing, if asked to name one song from Michael Jackson you would know one (most likely; Smooth Criminal, Beat it, Thriller, and Bad)....
