Weird: woman marries dog. Weirder: because it resembles her father
A woman in Africa has got married to her dog because it reminded her of her late father. Emily Mabou, from Ghana, married her 18-month-old dog in front of a priest and local villagers in a ceremony this week.
“My dad was kind, faithful, and loyal to my mum, and he never let her down,” she said.
The 29-year-old's family refused to attend, however, and slammed the wedding as "a stupid step to combat her loneliness.”
Having spotted on glaringly obvious area where the dog differs to her dad, she's thought up a way around the baby-making problem and plans to raise kids with her husband by adopting.
