Transmission Grid Inadequacy Stalls Massive Wind Turbine Projects
T. Boone Pickens is stuck with $2 billion worth of wind turbines after finding that Texas's power grid can't handle the addition of more electricity. This is not uncommon in the U.S., and these problems must be addressed before we can make the changeover to alternative methods of power generation.
Unfortunately, a failure of will and of imagination in the U.S. seem to have rendered us impotent; incapable of making the types of positive changes which can make the future better. Is there lead in our water supply which is making us stupid, timid, and obstinate?
