Sure California is scrambling to close a $26.3 billion budget deficit, (they’ve even cut Drug Enforcement Agent jobs) but what’s really important is that state leaders are also ignoring millions of Californians who just want safe access to affordable medicine.
“We’re marijuana consumers,” says Nadene Herndon of Fair Oaks, who says she began using marijuana after suffering multiple strokes three years ago. “Instead of being treated like criminals for using a substance safer than alcohol, we want to pay our fair share.”
Check out the video! I hope to see more pro-marijuana ads to counter the ridiculous and often misleading anti-drug ones!

I fully believe that the biggest obstacles to acceptance of marijuana as a useful drug, lie in the fear of competition by complex businesses like pharmaceuticals, textiles, timber, oil, criminal capture and care. Any one of these can represent a large economic brick wall not easily brought down, even by knowledge and common sense.

"Here, here and I'd like to tack on a pay raise for all us legislators in the Senate."
"Bill amended. Motion passed.... but without the marijuana part. That part was cut out."

I don't know about the rest of the country, but every day out here in California we're bombarded with news about how our state's economy is falling apart. I think this is a really interesting and clever new tactic on the part of pro-marijuana activists.

Will weed be cheaper if it is legal? If so FREE THE WEED! The only downside to legalizing marijuana are the regulations that would surround it. Most job wouldn't let people smoke "marijuana" during work. I wouldn't want a doctor doing surgery on me high that would suck.

Go California go! Lead the way to a pro-pot victory!

Cannabis should be 'free' for medical and industrial purposes, what's the problem?

once the government gains control over it, it will become filled with chemicals, poisons and probably mixed with tobacco to make more product to sell using as little marijuana as possible.
i think it will go to shit but I also don't believe people should sit in jail for years for having it in their pocket or be fired if it shows up in their piss.

Yup, I like that she's not your "typical" pot smoker, but at the same time I'm on the same page as MissAmanda - once it's legalized (and we all know it's gonna happen in the next 10-15 years), the pot industry that's gonna sprout up is going to start making some shitty ass weed filled with chemicals, halved with tobacco for profit, not as strong..
But that being said: yay legalization (as long as it's done properly)!!!
