Burger King resort to using Hindu Godess in their ad campaign
Burger King have depicted the Hindu Godess Lakshmi.
The printed ad runs like this:
The Hindu goddess of wealth is sitting on top of a sandwich with the caption: "A snack that is sacred."
I can't think of any other mainstream advertising (printed that so blatantly used religious icons) Also a religion where a majority of its following are vegetarian.
Needless to say a lot of the US locals who've seen it find it distasteful (talking about their food as well) ... what do you think ?

Maybe it's going to be a new advertising theme and the next version of the sign has the image of a crucifix jammed into the top of a whopper.
