H2-WHOA! Australian town bans bottled water

Image...
Residents of a rural Australian town hoping to protect the earth and their wallets have voted to ban the sale of bottled water, the first community in the country — and possibly the world — to take such a drastic step in the growing backlash against the industry.

Bottled water should be phased out all together in its current form through recycling initiatives and only produced and distributed in biodegradable/recyclable containers for emergency relief efforts only. Considering all the emergency relief efforts yet to arise, I understand that bottled water must be less harmful in general to natural environments because there is a coming great need.

This is a big step. Once people go without them, they'll realize they never really needed them. Plus, we waste a lot of plastic and cutting back on bottles is the first step. Go Oz!
