CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - An Amtrak train crashed Thursday into a car in this Detroit suburb, killing all five people in the vehicle, Canton Township police said.
Police Sgt. Craig Wilsher said the crash happened about 12:30 p.m. in the Wayne County community, about 20 miles west of Detroit.
The vehicle was northbound when it crossed the train tracks and was hit, Wilsher said.
He said there were no survivors in the car and no injuries on the train. The ages of those killed were not immediately known.
