Brain cells tend to expire when people don't read enough (...or spend enough time in your local library), listen to conservative talk radio on the way to your dead-end job in the morning, and watch too much Fox "News" in the evening.
So remember kids, don't be afraid to wade waist-deep into the river of dangerous ideas, compulsive behavior, and reality-warping weirdness. Only then do you have any hope of avoiding a life of soul-sucking mediocrity and ideological polarization.
