For decades, France has prided itself on being the world capital of seaside semi-nudity. Now the nation is facing a bikini-top backlash. A younger generation of women are covering up, citing new feminist priorities, skin cancer fears and a rebellion against the cult of the fetished body beautiful.

    • Well , at least they have the option . There is such a confusing way of framing the human body in this country . It sells things , yet is a hidden taboo . It is like we cannot make up our minds if to flaunt it or not . I would like the option to be topless or not . All my life I have had to suffer , clothed in the heat . If americans were more comfortable with their bodies , they might take better care of them . The mentality we have is a no win .
