Good news: Spotify's makers have announced they've submitted an iPhone app to Apple for approval.Better news: It'll let you listen to music even when you're not connected to a network.
Bad news: They're only making it available to premium subscribers who pay £9.99 a month.

Spotify have been clever in releasing the video and sending the app to Apple at the same time.
They must know that Apple might have quietly declined the app but at least if the public know about it there will be a huge outcry if it gets declined.
App looks good as well, Android version please??

I think you're spot on.
The offline playlists are going to be Apple's biggest worry. It's an amazing feature and I wonder how they're going to get it into the app store when it's something that would put me off using iTunes. They seem confident it'll be approved though.
Just as an aside, it's so cool to see a British-based start up doing so well.
