Coldplay will make an appearance in an upcoming Simpsons episode. The band will perform a concert for Bart and Homer after Homer wins a million bucks in the lottery.
Coldplay is following in the footsteps of Aerosmith and Michael Jackson who have also made guest appearances on the famed television show.

This is, in my opinion, the highest honor one could receive in their lifetime.

    • Coldplay is an awesome band & one of the few bands these days NOT putting out total crap records! Simpsons are somewhat funny & from what I know of Chris Marten (Coldplay's singer) He's a pretty funny guy as well! This should be neat for sure!

    • Double yawn. They're both way past their prime, especially the Simpsons. Wake me up when Neutral Milk Hotel performs on The Venture Brothers.

      Oh yeah, and:

"Coldplay is following in the footsteps of Aerosmith and Michael Jackson who have also made guest appearances on the famed television show." And about 40 others since those two, including on at least 2 music mega episodes, "Homerpalooza" and the rock and roll camp episode. That hasn't been an exclusive club since at least 1996.

Wait, did you just post this so you could jump on the Michael Jackson tag bandwagon?? HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!!
