Compromise for Condoms?

In government health care reform debates, abortion coverage is the third rail. Should some abortion be implicitly, if not explicitly, covered? Should Congress promote the use of contraception? And if abortion were covered, would Barack Obama's mother have had one?-

Condoms are not about pregnancy prevention as much as overall society prevention from STDs and STIs.

I will never be a supporter of any interference in the proccess of life. I do not want my tax money involved in any such nonsense either. That being said the dicussion should be about where does protection of life from diseases and the life of the mother start and the interruption of a life proccess begin. According to the diverse opinions of our court system any intercourse could be a rape as determined by the female and thus any life could be interrupted for that reason in many states. So relying even on our supposedly uninflenced court system cannot support life. What chance does life have in our legislative branches subverted by lobbyists? Seems hopeless for my opinion to bear any weight these days.

I am also the beholder of an IUD... after having a child! This was covered by a government assisted program (kind of like Medi-Cal). It's funny because after I had my first child they were VERY persistent to talk to me about birth control...
Right now I am laughing because I was "on" birth control when I got pregnant. Those daily pills aren't easy to remember!

Well the government is giving aid for contraception for the poor. I qualified to get an IUD (thing up my crotch, stays there for 10 years, 99.9% effective) for free due to a government grant. They're smart knowing that the people who need contraception most are the ones who can't afford it.
