Weel almost. Channel 4 will be the first to screen 3D bit with the aid of glasses, whilst Sky will use new TV technology for their broadcasts:"Channel 4 is kicking off a whole season of 3D footage. The schedule will include Derren Brown’s 3D Magic Spectacular and a compilation of The Greatest Ever 3D Moments – presumably there aren’t enough to fill a top 100 quite yet.
Although Channel 4 will beat Sky to the punch, it is using ColourCode tech for its 3D. ColourCode is relatively cheap in 3D terms and presumably lacks the depth of more sophisticated broadcasting techniques, but it will at least look vaguely normal if you’re watching without the required amber and blue goggles."

This should be a nice introduction into the evolution of the TV experience -- Hopefully this means I'll be able to watch E4 shows in 3D, in the near future.

Funny enough on the ColourCode glasses, because Virgin1 is airing an episode of 'Chuck' in 3D this Tuesday, glad I've got my 3D glasses ready...

I was quite surprised to hear that there's footage of the Queen's Coronation in 3D. But I spose the fifties was the real era of 3D. Like the guys in the article I "sincerely hope this paves the way for all future Christmas Queen’s Speeches too."
