Target Women is a recurring segment on Current TV's weekly television show, infoMania. In each episode of Target Women, Sarah Haskins takes a look at the often-ridiculous way the media reaches out to women.

infoMania is a half-hour satirical news show that airs on Current TV. The show puts a comedic spin on the 24-hour chaos and information overload brought about by the constant bombardment of the media. Hosted by Conor Knighton and co-starring Brett Erlich, Sarah Haskins, Ben Hoffman, Bryan Safi and Sergio Cilli, the show airs on Thursdays at 10 pm Eastern and Pacific Times and can be found online at http://current.com/infomania/ or on Current TV. • I am waiting on Sarah to do a special on those Brinks/Broadview home security commercials. I love how they always have women being attacked by strange men (or in the latest, crazy stalker ex-boyfriends).

I also love how there's a man on the other end of the phone who sends help...probably more men in uniforms...

    • Latrisse can be used by cancer patients to regrow lashes after chemotherapy. Yes, hypotrichosis *is* a real disease related to alopecia.
As for the comments about Brook Shields...
Brooke Shields is a working mom plain and simple. What was she supposed to do when she got married and had kids? Hide?

What I don't get it how does Sarah Haskins think she is fighting the objectification and judgment of women when she herself is objectifying and judging other women for their choices?

oh my GOD kateaesch... did someone remove your sense of humor on purpose or was it lost in a terrible accident. holy cow. they are making fun of advertising here not her and not women. in fact usually the general idea is that advertising treats women like they have no brain of their own and will buy anything (which is partially true... i work in advertising)

    • Checked her filmography on RottenTomatoes.com, and there is plenty of work she's been doing when she's not in adverts. Her featured role in 'The Mayor of the Sunset Strip' was her best so far...

Also don't mind the plastic orange containers, perfect for heating baked beans in the microwave...

    • Those Latisse ads have been bugging the crap out of me. "Inadequate lashes" is now a medical condition! Along with any other part of your body that falls short of the commercial beauty ideal! Ugh.

Speaking of shaving, how about those Gillette bikini razor ads that suggest you'll not only get a closer shave, you'll also "get closer" in other ways (read: in bed)? Because ladies, if anything's holding you back from intimacy, it's your weed-infested garden.

    • @ ali6877: I agree! And she should cover how, in shaving commercials, the women shave ALREADY SMOOTH LEGS! Like, what is the point?

    • You should do a 'Target Women' on shaving commercials. The ones that are targeted at women all have to do with being 'gutsy' and flirty with clean, shaven legs...like you cant possibly be like that and have these emotions, when you legs are hairy.
