The title seems a little off to me seeing as he didn't even touch on the subject of upgradeable motherboards themselves. I do agree with the author though, after a couple years it is usually is better to just buy a whole new system then to keep and older one alive.

But the truth of the matter is that THEY DON'T and it annoys the crap out of me. Budget PC gamers are the reason games aren't progressing as they should [i.e. Crysis] because all they do is complain that they can't play the latest and greatest.
But then again, maybe I should start a LAN gaming center with the latest and greatest computers...
