Inside the comic book about fur, they show an actual picture of a skinned animal! Reading what they say about their parents is even more disturbing!

    • Take it from a militant vegan: PETA has its demons. This ad, for one, is sexist as hell. PETA has a history of sexist ads. That said, GO VEGAN! D:

    • What I like about PETA is that people get upset over their tactics, but some actually stop and realize that it's their tactics that are repellant, not the intent behind them, and then they actually begin giving the actual issues consideration.

I mean, where are they wrong? Your mommy absolutely does kill animals. She may not wield the knife, but that's poetic license. The act is essentially the same in that it yields the same results.

Kids tend to have a natural affinity for animals. When they understand the truth behind where their animal products come from, they're appalled, and rightly so. Talk about brainwashing, it takes years of propaganda and topic sidestepping to psychologically condition kids to accept animal torture and death as a means for petty consumption.

If you don't think you've been deeply conditioned to believe that killing animals for pleasure is totally reasonable, you haven't been very introspective in examining the issue.

    • yeah I tend to ignore PETA, but when i lived in Norfolk, VA , PETA's HQ, this stuff was common place. They had a tendency to hang out by schools; to hand out pamphlets that said drinking milk caused horrible acne.

    • PETA is about as far left as you can get- to the point of being mentally unbalanced. Rather than bringing them loads of positive publicity, their stunts make people ask "WTF?" People realize PETA are a bunch of nutjobs, to be looked on with curiosity and revulsion. Like the time they wanted the mayor of Fishkill, NY to change the name of the town to "Fishsave". He replied he would not, because the town was named by the Dutch settlers who founded the town. In Flemish, "Fishkill" means "Fish stream". When PETA pulls stunts like these, it exposes their pure stupidity and ignorance. I will say, tho' that the whackjobs at PETA have wonderful imaginations!

      What precisely are they imagining?

You mean their imaginative publicity stunts? I don't think PETA cared what "fishkill" meant in Dutch, nor did they expect an actual name change. They acted purely for the publicity that they knew it would generate. The fact that you're aware of the stunt is testament to the fact that they were successful in that regard.
