I just finished reading Richard Florida's article about the rise of the creative class, and how it's changing the working dynamic in America. I had a feeling this was going to be the how it would turn out for a while now (since we can't outsource creativity). Check it out for yourselves, it's a very interesting article, and discuss it below.

    • I can't believe Albuquerque and Colorado Springs were amongst the top cities on the mid-sized cities list. Those cities never felt friendly to creative people, at least from my experiences in those locations. Those towns seems to be blue collar with lots of crime, and I can't imagine myself living in either of those places, despite the effect the article had on me. I have always approached my job from a creative standpoint, no matter what my job may be at the time. Even when doing manual labor or delivering pizzas I was constantly looking for ways to improve my performance (call it motivated laziness). Wonder what this portends.
