David Albahari is one of Serbia’s most important writers and is considered one of the important post-modern writers of his time.He has written eight novels and eight collections of short stories, a number of which have been award winners in Serbia and Yugoslavia. His books have been translated into fourteen languages, including English. He wrote Snow Man shortly after arriving in Canada in 1994, when Serbia was in flames. He lives in Calgary, where he is a freelance writer and translator.
