In another eerie move, Google and the Energy Detective Join Forces! Reminds me of the movie MARS ATTACKS for some reason. Google could potentially cross-correlate their end-user data from GoogleVoice, GPS/Maps, calendars, etc. and send you an "alert" if your carbon footprint is getting too big for your contributions back to society!JOHN COLLINS RUDOLF reports in the Green Inc. blog: “PowerMeter is really focused on the problem of climate change,” said Tom Sly, a senior manager on Google’s new business development team. “We believe that this actually does cause people to reduce consumption.”
Would this be crossing the line? I don't know how I feel about this... mostly afraid to run and afraid to stand still. Either way, I have a feeling it doesn't matter what I think when it comes to The Google.
