I'm from Boston Ma.and we already have a medical pot and if you have an ounce or less you don't get busted you get a 200 dollar ticket which most people who get them never pay the fine! state by state it is becoming less criminal to use and have it on your person or in your home! However some hate those who smoke in public and want some king of draconian law to put a stop to public use! been smoking it in parks since the 60's am 57 now! I do believe that it will be legal in my lifetime! are any of you aware that the all the tobbacco companies have bought land to grow it leading to a monopoly when it is legal? it is true and they bought the land in the 60's!

I don't care who drives.
My only concern is that we get where we're going. There's no speed limit on the legislative highway.

everyone should boycott big tobacco's attempt to sell it and just grow your own or support your local weed dealer...We are just normal people trying to make ends meet...support me
And I thought Cali would be first, but lets hope it passes in Massachusetts

if obama wants to honour the sanctity of the 'peace' prize, he has got to legalise it so we can all chill and stop war-mongering.
but before that, hopefully he uses the international acclaim to pass healthcare.

With the recent decriminalization in January, I think Massachusetts, as a people and legislature are finally understanding their potential for powerful statehood. It also being the state offering the highest tax incentive to produce movies, I think we're going to start seeing Mass make a mark for itself as one of the strongest, culturally and socially in the US.
Dope city!

Today when I awoke I read, President Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize. I think it's time for cannabis peace in America. It's time to end an un-just war on American soil.
It's time to re-classify cannabis. Cannabis hemp should not be classified equal with heroin and cocaine.
President Obama is Commander and Chief of the war on cannabis too. President Obama knows the war on cannabis is wrong and should work toward ending a war against Americans, on American soil, which is based on fixed facts and many times out and out lies.
Peace.

Love the Massachusetts Legislature, but not the picture.
Let's leave Phillip Morris out of this scene entirely. They would put a very dark shadow on the Cannabis culture. This is not about being addicted to a very harmful drug, it's about a medicinal plant that can help a lot of people.

it does make you think though. will corporations ruin "mainstream" legalized weed? or will it not be able to compete with the home grown stuff?

i honestly think that the future legal marijuana consumers will support local business and the social capitalists that are sure to become legal distributors. i do not think that illegal groups such as gangs are going to willfully register for permits, etc to alert themselves to law-enforcing bodies. also, i believe big tabac or big pharma companies are not quick to associate themselves with the devil plant. i am sure there will be shell companies to try and mask their involvment though.
let us start the revolution. buy local. support your community. fuck mulitinational corporations.
