How does the right wing report this kind of news? They lie about it! Visit Curtisreeds thread at

    http://current.com/items/90731376_obama-popularity-hits-new-low.htm

For the same first link but very different factz. In the screenshot I provide you can see clearly the different approval numbers curtisreed used from what his source states.

Obama's popularity has risen but mainly with evil ruthless dictators, terrorists, capitalist hating socialists, communists, and just about anyone else in the world who wants to see the U.S. fail in whatever it does.

Rasmussen found 46 percent favor the creation of a government-sponsored option, while 37 percent are opposed; Gallup found 51 percent favor, while 41 percent are opposed; and the New York Times found 65 percent favor, while only 26 percent are opposed.

And RFnI the only help we got from Obama was to spend 1 trillion on banks that eventually failed anyway and another 1/2 trillion to auto dealers to hold them up until they to went to bk and sold. With that money we could pay the unemployment caused, solve homelessness, and insure all uninsured for years. You better forget what you thought about Bush and pay attention to what this pres does.

    Where they belong?

What the hell does that mean?

haha.. I can't take this serious with that kind of comment.

If the president isn't in the high 80's...he's failing. if he's so into education then his approval rating is going to be done by the books.

As much as I am glad that his polling numbers are so high because it makes his pursuit of his agenda easier, the only measure of any true importance is, of course, whether he is effectively advancing the interests of the American people. He is doing so with far greater success than any President in more than a decade.

When fully a third of Americans are either so poorly educated or so apathetic that they make no effort to stay informed (or both), that group's "opinion" of President Obama's job performance is simply of no value. Heck, even 29% of Americans still thought BUSH was doing a good job at the end of his second term. The collected intellectual power of that group couldn't blow out a candle...

    You like that........
Just wait and see what happens after he passes health care reform with the public option.

    His ratings will soar!

Just give the base some Luv, Obama, and we'll be hear waiting for the change you said to believe in!

More proof that the MAJORITY of the people not only approve of the job he is doing, but support the agenda he has worked so hard to promote. I'm sure there will be some whining from the right, that has become standard operating procedure for every instance that anyone shows some support for Obama.

Thanks neocongo - good way to start the week. I think the more we call MSM out for bending perception the better chance we have of changing it.

None of these polls is statistically applicable to the US or even registered voters. The results are applicable to the small groups of people interviewed only.

These polls are highly statistically valid based on common, modern polling methods, although Gallup normally leans right. 4 polls finding precisely the same figure is HIGHLY significant. I am afraid you are left simply to deal with it.

Haven't taken a statistics class yet? The sampling size is too small to generalize the results. Also in some of the polls, the interviewees are weighted.

Forget the Republicans and forget the Democrats. Time to move on before they kill us all or our children have to move to Mexico to find a decent job. Haven't seen things so dark since the time we actually considered using weapons to "solve" our disputes.

This is great news and when a public option is signed into law the numbers will sky rocket!

The proof that Americans know just what is happening to the country and just what Obama really is and what and who does he represent. There is a hundred books and videos that tell the story of the Banks, The Money, The debt, and the bank profits and where do they come from. What is the story of the central banks and the circuit tom Obama and Geitner and Summers. Robert Rubin of Goldman Sachs is the boss of Summers and Geitner and there is this loop to The Oval office to Geitner and Summers and to Goldman Sachs and on to JP Morgan Chase etc. These are the true leaders of the USA.

to eldamon: Thanks for the walk down poll lane and the brief, but "cogent" insights. Now lets take a look at real popularity; there was Hitler and Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan. Maybe we should, as my sainted mother used to say, "Consider the source." Not the pollsters, but the people being polled. These are same people that went along with the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and the notion that we always have good intentions and tell the truth. These are the people who gave us Reagan and Clinton and Schwarzenegger and W Bush and now Obama. Who cares what the poles indicate? All Obama has done so far is be a catalyst for bring good old American racism out of the closet. When you poll lazy and ignorant people, who cares what the results are? God weeps at His creations. If you are a "real" Christian, "You gonna have some explaining, Lucy." (Ricky Ricardo) Then, again, we are the greatest nation on earth. We like our health care providers. We have the highest standard of living in the world. We live in a democracy. We are better than anyone else. Women are almost equal to men. Happiness is a warm gun. Communism didn't work, so that means capitalism is great. We all have the opportunity to become rich beyond our wildest expectation, except for the lazy. You are puppets and dullards. The dictionary describes the belief in things which are not true as delusional. Once again on a daily basis it is down the rabbit hole, Alice.
