Smelly people, fat people and people who cough and sneeze are the most disliked passengers to be seated next to on an airplane, according to a survey.Almost half of the people polled by website Travelocity said passengers with poor hygiene are the worst, while 30 percent dislike people who cough and sneeze and 15 percent don't like sitting next to fat passengers.
Almost two thirds of people said seat-kicking was the rudest behaviour displayed by passengers, followed by loud talking or swearing and reclining the seat all the way back.
When it comes to fat passengers, 44 percent of people believed they should be given two seats at no extra cost, while 39 percent believed they should have to pay for an extra seat.
Bringing larger than allowed carry-on luggage was deemed the most annoying thing a passenger could do when boarding, while people rushing to get off a plane was the worst thing passengers could do when exiting.
I would hate to sit next to Katy Price or Peter Andre, but I can't afford to fly first class, so I am ok there.
Who would you hate to sit beside?

I'll agree with the unruly kids comment above, but more importantly add the "I can't entertain myself so I'll talk incessintly to you" person.
The worst culmanation of all of this happened recently to me. A girl of probably 14 sat next to my girlfriend and I on a flight that was only about 3 hours long. Within the first hour of the flight, I heard zoe's entire life story. Her mom and dad both died, so she now lives with her grandma who is too old and always forgets to pick her up from school. Once I fell asleep she convinced my girlfriend to let her draw pictures on my arms.
Who gets mad at somebody for putting their seat back all the way? You can only rotate like 5 degree and if you don't; it feels like you hunched forward the entire flight. I've also found out that if you recline empty seats next to you that you won't get that annoying wake-up tap before landing of, "sir can I get you to put your seat in the upright position?"

I am fully aware that this will make me unpopular amongst most of Current's users but POORLY BEHAVED CHILDREN, I recently traveled to a questionable spanish resort from Newcastle Airport at 5AM, on-board we had myself my partner & 39 screaming swearing hyperactive 7-14 year olds from a disadvantaged childrens charity otherwise "Me parents are on the dole dont work & I get a free holiday every year". They swore from check-in to arriving at the resorts, one polite child of 14 even told a male flight-attendent that he was a "Fu££ing Queer & I want a drink now" after that he tried it with me my apologies if you all think this was wrong but I informed the little angel that if he said anything alse about me or anyone in that manner the only holiday experiance he would have would be covered in plaster at a hospital.

People who recline there seat all the way back should be marched in-front of the whole plane and mate to stand at the front. I mean really, have some class.

You make the good point that most celebrities would be travelling first class - which is lucky as being stuck next to Katie Price for several hours would be a nightmare.
Being stuck next to people who don't like flying isn't a lot of fun either as they panic at any sign of turbulence and after a while that can rub off and leave you feeling a bit worried too. Specially if they grab your arm and start sweating.

I think, probably, that I would hate to sit next to a terrorist on a plane. And don't even get me started on terrorists with poor hygiene.
