A dizzying array of elements are involved in creating a movie poster -- everything from contractual requirements dictating the size of the stars' names to psychological studies on which colors and fonts produce which emotions in viewers.-

Can you tell me who in this picture doesn't have their face obscured or cutoff?
End argument.

Wow, that Henriques guy had a bit of time on his hands.
Is this one racist too, with those sunglasses hiding his eyes?

So you're defending Hollywood? I've seen Republicans point out that much of Hollywood is racist, too.

Every day, racism happens in Hollywood. I wrote an article about it and someone told me to blame Hollywood, because tv shows don't have enough of a mixed culture and they (the people who answered or commented in my article) told me I should think happy thoughts, so that racism could go away. lol.. true story!

Is there any part of America you don't see racism in? Any at all? Is every white person in America racist? You're starting to sound a little paranoid.

John,
I don't know where you come from or where you live. But i lived in NJ and NY. I have traveled throughout the 50 states in this country and to several countries. And yes, I can state by my experience and many others, that are the minority in this country, that the US of A still has racism in it. Not all of it, because that never came out of me... just you buddy.
You might think by attacking me or calling me names is going to make me sound less credible, but the truth is, I have experienced racism wearing a suit, wearing baggy jeans, driving a bmw, driving a beat up car and even while owning a home. So is racism still around today? YES! every in the US of A? no, I know for a fact that every time I go to NY, Cali, FL and NJ... I find amazing people of all races and yes, including white folks... that have great minds and think like me.
By the way, my girlfriend is white... think it over buddy!

Racism is still prevalent in the supposedly liberal Hollywood movie industry, so it's not surprising if true.

I thought this was an interesting article, with some backing, but I would have preferred more visual implementation. Show us, don't tell us.

In the original article, the author talks a lot about sunglasses and how they obscured the faces of minorities. Although minorities are certainly not the only people who wear sunglasses on movie posters, the author might be onto something. Count how many minorities tip their shades exposing their faces in this video by Brett Erlich.

We have idiots like Rush and Dobbs running around not to mention Fox Propaganda Channel, we don't have to search for "possible" racism when they so readily provide ACTUAL racism on a continuous basis.
