I'll get excited when it's signed into law.

Still, short of a violent, armed uprising, this will likely harm more than it helps. Until the government's genuinely scared of its people, real change is off the table.

WASHINGTON - AARP — the senior citizens' lobby — will endorse the health care overhaul bill that House Democrats are preparing to take to the floor, officials told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

An announcement on the $1.2 trillion measure is expected Thursday. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement has not been made.

The endorsement, in advance of floor votes as early as this weekend, would be a major boost for President Barack Obama's signature issue.

I wonder what behind the scenes extortion and strong arm tactics went on to secure this endorsement.
They probably promised to let aarp exist or maybe promised to cut them in on some of the loot they'll steal from the other insurance companies and corporations.
I'm sure well find out later.

The AARP does not represent "seniors" as the insurance industry would like it spinned. The AARP represents the health insurance industry, and does not support a single payer system as do most doctors.

"The bill would also provide $1 billion to state insurance commissioners...." You trust state "insurance" commissions? The problem with health care insurance in America is the health care insurance for-major-profit industry. As long as that big money is involved there will be corruption, payoffs, and loopholes. This is total bullshit.

I like the yellow developing stories banner. It's like the crime scene banner that Michael Moore wrapped around Wall Street. In other words, caution, majorly deep BS ahead.

I am a liberal and look folks, this bill blows. The dems are masquerading as do gooders, and the insurance companies are faining injury, when in truth the congress is just giving the insurance companies what they want.

MARK MY WORKS: this bill will only make most matters worse and we will be revisiting the health care crises again in coming years.
