BEIRUT — An unassuming college math student has become an unlikely hero to many in Iran for daring to criticize the country's most powerful man to his face.

he's either dead by now, or well on his way. their government has killed its own people for way less.

Al Qaeda, the theocratic regimes in Iran, the brainwashing regime of North Korea, all will dissolve, not by US war (although this may be necessary for peace keeping in some cases) but by the ambition of their own people to gain the liberty and freedoms enjoyed by those of many nations in the world. Power to this young man, a small but impacting step for the people of the Middle East and Eastern Asia.

    BTW...

    CHOMSKY ON IRAN
Concerning Iran, Chomsky said the U.S. acted to overthrow its parliamentary democracy in 1953 “to retain control of Iranian resources” and when the Iranians reasserted themselves in 1979, the U.S. acted “to support Saddam Hussein’s merciless invasion” of that country. “The torture of Iran continued without a break and still does, with sanctions and other means,”

Chomsky “mocked the idea” presented by mainstream media that a nuclear-armed Iran might attack nuclear-armed Israel. Iranian leaders would have to have a “fanatic death wish” to attack Israel, which reportedly has 200 nuclear weapons or more. “The chance of Iran launching a missile attack, nuclear or not, is about at the level of an asteroid hitting the earth,” Chomsky said. He said the presence of U.S. anti-missile weapons in Israel are really meant for preparing a possible attack on Iran, not for self-defense, as they are often presented.

    NO WAR ON IRAN

He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable an ignorable war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." - Albert Einstein

in a place like that where the summers vote results were protested so much it was easy(er) to get out there with several thousand people but to do it one on one that's great to see. something cool is going to happen there soon.
