The father in one of the most litigated family law cases in America gets some comfort, but not much.
Crystel Strelioff sentenced on four counts of felony child abduction.
The father said Crystel was sentenced to the maximum of three years on each count, but they run concurrently and in Illinois, where she is serving time, prisoners can be released after 50% of the sentence is served. Because the child abductor already served about six months of her sentence, she may be released in a year.
This case is shameful. The mother tricked protective parent organizations such as Justice for Children into spending their time and other resources on a sham case. The father underwent extensive testing voluntarily and the children did not give convincing accounts of any abuse by the father, according to court documents. Worse, the children seemed to the evaluators to have been coached, meaning they suffered verbal and emotional sexual abuse by the people who coached them.

Funny how Ive seen people get up to ten years for just one conviction of this.... Still she gets a slap on the wrist. Its a shame the courts would not take into consideration the suffering she put on her own children when they sentanced her.....

I agree the coaches et.al. Need to be held accountable,
yet many of them there coaches ,as they are called,
are under the watchful protective eyes of the fox's who are guarding the hen house ,embracing them with immunity -
The coaches will face the consequences when the states do not benefit financially for their actions.....

I speak from some experience on these matters.
I have never been accused of any kind of sexual abuse but I would not put that past my ex.
She disappeared with my oldest daughter was 1 and 1/2 and it took me almost 2 years to get to see my daughter again. By then she had convinced my daughter that her new boyfriend was her daddy.
In the end I was given custody and raised her for the last ten years. She is fighting me for custody again and it is a mess.
However I do not think that jail is necessarily the appropriate course of action with whack jobs like this lady. Extreme counseling and aggressive psycho-analysis and medication are in order to be sure. The goal should be to straighten out the mess that is this bitch's brain if that is at all possible.
The problem is that jail will not straighten her out. And her children will always know her as their mother. People tend to forget that to children their parents are a reflection of themselves.
In any event I think 1 and 1/2 years in jail is more than enough punishment for this sicko.

What a shame for those kids. Will they know what's normal? You don't get to pick your family, unlucky for these kids.....

It is estimated that 73% of all alleged sexual abuse claims(during divorce) are false. How can a mother be so angry at a man that she would use sexual abuse as a tool? You should really look up the statistics.
-
The 73% is for alleged sexual abuse against the children... It is more 80-85% of false DV allegations that are solely between the adults..... It is much easier to make an accusation of DV and get the custody than it is to make an accusation of sexual abuse against the child... Even when there is evidence of the abuse they will ignore it if it will give the state more money .... believe you me... we know the statistics ;)
