This wasn't a terrorist act but a psychotic breakdown. I almost guarantee after this psychiatrist regains consciousness he will receive a thorough mental evaluation detailing that he has a list of mental problems, and not that he is a sleeper cell or a militant from the middle east. He was born in arlington, texas. Yoiu can't get much more american than that.

I don't think this act was an act of terrorism. Under United States Federal law terrorism is defined as
"The unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property in order to coerce or intimidate a government or the civilian population in furtherance of political or social objectives."
Unless they can prove he was trying to further a political cause or a social objective, it isn't terrorism.

That's funny. I called it a terrorist act yesterday. The fact is that the definition of terrorism is broad and could be applied to the Fort Hood incident. I can't see someone going on a rampage without wanting to prove some point. Even if the point was, "This is what could happen when you mistreat people, so people better think twice before they are assholes." Which seems to be the possible social message this terrorist was trying to get across.
Even though I see how it could be called a terrorist act, I disagree with the fear-inducing connotation when Joe used the word. I doubt he would fairly apply the word to the actions of the US army.

What was despicable was the Kenyans description of the shootings. Called it everything but what it was but, then again, he is an idiot so what do we expect.
