That is the thing that is really unconscionable. That picture is creepy. If I was a little kid and I saw that, I would be freaked out. The Coney Island man gave me nightmares when I was 3. This is way worse than that.

Unbelievable. Targeting children in a shock format is inappropriate and will only distance people from the potentially good work that PETA could be making. If they had simply focused on the parents, not the children, this could have been a very successful campaign. Instead, they essentially did the same thing they accuse McDonalds of doing, manipulating children...

Parents are the ones to be blamed not the kids.

I see them bringing their three or four year old child to eat that disgusting garbage camouflaged with colors, balloons, smiles and happy playgrounds.
They need to be informed, educate their children about this dangerous "food".

I am not sure about PETA but what I know is that this will only bring people to hate any organization that tries to inform and promote people's health.

With this kind of action you get the reverse effect, mcdonalds now will look like a poor victim of such a "slander" and PETA is the evil monster.

Listen, I joined peta in the 7th grade because of the materials they handed out, that includes images of bleed cows scruffy ass chickens... the works. and its effective...I was a 13 year old who didn't want anything to do with killing animals.

Of course I agree this is wrong and peta's tactics are distasteful. but they are effective, and as any cause would they play on what they know will work.

PETA needs to grow up. plain and simple. And to whoever it was up there (iloveravi) who says that if you eat meat your an idiot, I have a few things for you to consider. First of which is, where the hell do you come off with that kind of statement? if you eat meat you're stupid, thats as dumb as saying any racist comment you can imagine. Secondly, if vegetarians are so much smarter than meat eaters, why haven't you all gotten together and solved all of our problems already? You're smarter than us, so you should be able to trick us into letting you run things. And lastly, and this is directed to iloveravi in particular, you are a fool for thinking that what PETA does in anyway is admirable, intelligent, or ethical. Not one of their practices, tactics or messages are acceptable, especially because they have done literally nothing to better the world in the way they say they will.

It's really such a shame how much people hate PETA. They are doing good by trying to make the mass millions aware about the horrible disgusting animal cruelty most of us eat every day. Would we all beat our dogs, force them to live in horribly painful and uncomfortable conditions their entire life, and then just kill them and EAT them. This isn't as bad as their other campaigns, because McDonald's no doubt does not treat their animals humanely and is full of hormones and other crap.
However, that doesn't take away from the fact that the people at PETA are batshit insane and hypocrites.

It's a shame PETA is alienating people with their methods because their cause is an important one. I've donated too the S.P.C.A. (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) because they do good work and have a good reputation.

I bet it will make these kids think, which is a good thing. It will also make the parents have to confront serious issues with their children. You can't advocate ending the exploitation of on species while exploiting another to get your message across. Scaring children and making them feel guilty is such a low thing to do. PETA has become radicalized. They have to realize that there can be ways of fighting animal cruelty and fighting for animal rights without demonizing something that humans have been doing for millions of years or treating it as unnatural, because when they do they immediately lose alot of supporters.

I'll support the protection of wild cougars, humpback whales, bald eagles, the killing of polar bear mothers, etc.... but when you start telling everyone that they are evil for eating a burger then I'm sorry, but you lost my support...

i respect animals, my totem is coyote. i have killed and eaten animals and for me it is difficult. bear tastes bad, like old pork and the grease stinks. snake is sort of like fish but i'd rather have a mouthful of crickets. we are very much like bear with our palates; mostly veggy, some meat. our closest relatives, the chimps, snack all day on veggys but when they kill a rival gang member or monkey, they have a formal quiet meal with their significant others. they do this without cutlery,of course, pulling apart and biting off muscle and fat, chewing carefully. nature is sharp of tooth and death is followed by being devoured, except in the twisted human burial practices. humans are selfish with their flesh, unwilling to even feed themselves to their pets. we go so far as to contaminate our meat with formaldhyde, so the worms are thwarted. at every turn, humans have lost touch with our natural place in the great circle.

If I told you that the meat you eat is filled with unnecessary hormones, diseases, and even shit that still would not be enough to convince most of you idiots to not eat it.
