Cheech and Chong are taking over Current and we're taking your questions!

They'll definitely be talking about the topic of marijuana legalization, but you can ask them about their comedy, their movies, their careers, their opinions on politics, whatever you think would be really interesting to hear them talk about.

We'll be taking your questions until Friday, November 13th at 1:30PM EST.

Remember: Video questions are always given greater consideration and make sure you leave your name, age and location. (And make sure your user icon is a pic you own and not a pic or graphic that belongs to someone else)

Thanks!

    • Weird posting by Current...I was under the understanding Cheech and Chong would be answering questions after the stated time and date...guess not. Come on Current you can do better than this, or can you?

    • Cheech Marin & Tommy Chong;

      After viewing Barack Obama and Medical Marijuana (interview Q&A), he reveals his position on medical marijuana.

      What are your views concerning the legalization of Marijuana in America for medicinal purposes as well as recreational use?

      While I agree with the basis of his comments, I find his worry of using his 'political capital' on this issue, kind of weak. I think he would gain 'political capital', by addressing the issue with knowledge and forethought.

      He is providing the 'leadership' in America today! It's time to lead us out of the 'madness'! The number of people in prison in America 'IS' his problem. If nothing else, he should press Senator Jim Webb to 'move along' with 'prison reform'. Our prisons should not be overcrowded with 'non-violent drug offenders'. That's an "Assault on Reason" and US.

      We 'need' industrial hemp to generate 'environmentally friendly' products, which can be manufactured in the U.S.A..

      Yes, yes and YES.
      I agree, these issues need to be reviewed

    • Obama had mentioned he was for the use of medicinal marijuana before being elected. Do you think that if the healthcare bill goes through it would have a positive or negative affect on the fight for doctor's/patient's right to choose marijuana as medicine?

      Have either of you had experiences with salvia, and what's your take on it?

    • Having grown up hearing C&C on Dr. Demento radio shows late at night allways added a 'adult' feel to their style, you never felt that you were listening to comedy skits that were made to be enjoyed by all. You cant find that anymore and if it is tried, you get the stupid stoner feel about them.

    • My dad has a full beard a little less lengthy than Mr. Chong's, in fact he's my icon. Anyways my friends growing up would always reference him as Tommy Chong and one night my buddy was in the street acting like the Masturbating champion Harry Palms screaming "AUGH AUGH AUGH AUUUUGGGHHH" and my dad was like " what the hell is wrong with that guy?" Inside jokes based on your comedy have improved my life and my friendships. The LSD made a little funnier that night, too. SHOOT The MOON.

      Until the classification is changed, people would be crazy to risk coming out of the closet and possibly loosing their jobs. Today in America ones urine often counts more than ones abilities. It's better to stay in the closet, than draw attention and possible drug test at work. Our government accomplished much with the use of 'madness'. One which stands out is, drug testing leading to 'silencing' the voices of working Americans. That didn't happen by accident!

    • Jack Herer wrote the book. It's titled "The Emperor Wears No Cothes". When I read it, I was astounded. The history of cannabis was there, in 'black and white' complete with documenation to back it up. The first half of the book is all information. The second half is actual copies of the documents, to prove the information. The book is available to read online at http://www.jackherer.com/chapters.html Take a look at the amount of information contained in the book and see if you can reconcile in your mind why our own government so wilfully misled us with 'madness'?

    • why do you think the history of Hemp is not in the American history books? And why do you think after American's realization that Hemp is not in the history books, no one has done anything to publish new history books or correct the problem?

    • years ago, while mom was doing laundry at laundrymat, there was a garage sale and that is where I found your album "Big Bamboo" complete with paper, Intact. I bought it for $2.50. this was in 1979. long story short, I gave it away for stupid reasons. My question: Do you have any more copies of that album? Or would you know where I can find it? I totally love the album. I even collected The Wedding Album & your debut LP. Lost them though. quite sad. I would love to get the vinyls back.
      OH! Are all your movies on DVD? Like Corsican Brothers? Things Are Tough All Over?

    • Do you believe that marijuana communicates to the human brain by a form of plant-to-human synapsis (Spark the joy and it is transformed into a water vapor carrying a chemical signal directly to three receptor sites in the human brain that can receive the chemical signal and spark synapsis in the brain. I talk for the plant and it says "will no harm on all beings".

    • My question is for Cheech becuase I know that Tommy is prevented from discussing certain aspects of the US v Tommy Chong case.

      What is your opinion of John Ashcroft's legal attack on Tommy and how do you feel about the fact that Mary Beth Buchanan is still enjoying the privilege of serving as United States Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania so many months after George W. Bush has left the White House?

      For those of you who do not know Mary Beth Buchanan is the US Attorney for Western Pennsylvania who used her position to work diligently to (in some opinions) entrap and frame Tommy Chong for shipping glass bongs to Pennsylvania under a little-used statute (Title 21, Chapter 13, Subchapter 1, Part D, Section 863(a)[1]) of the U.S. Code.

      In the case against Chong Glass the undercover agent called Chong Glass on numerous occasions attempting to talk Chong Glass employees into shipping products to him in Pennsylvania but was rebuffed and informed that they could not ship products to Pennsylvania.

      Finally the agent talked an employee into filling the order by telling Chong Glass that he would pick up the order from the company's headquarters personally, avoiding the need for Chong Glass to ship the products to Pennsylvania. Chong Glass agreed becuase this would be legal. However after completing the order (of several thousand dollars in custom glass) the agent called back and stated that he would not be able to pick up the order and asked that Chong Glass just ship the order to him. Somehow an inexperienced employee fielded the call and agreed to ship the product and that is how they managed to prosecute Tommy.

      Current readers who are interested in more information about Mary Beth Buchanan and her wasteful and scurrilous methods of investigation and prosecution see;
