The time is swiftly coming when we workers hit the streets with pitchforks in hand. Read the article Am I right can you feel it. Republican obstruction to a ground swell of support for a public option is a clear sign D.C. is not listening to the people!

If you are not pissed off that your vote has been vetoed by our Corporate overlords you are not paying attention. What will it take 25% unemployment to make you get active. It's your tax dollars going to the largest facade of a war the United States has ever seen with no end in sight while 44,000 Americans die every year from lack of health insurance. Just because the payments to your representatives by mega corporations out weight your votes doesn't mean you won't be counted when you hit the streets. Get mad and unite, but keep your powder dry for now while thousands of municipalities all over the country start to cut basic services and the centurions are dropped because these municipalities can no longer afford to keep the cops on the beat they will join our ranks just like the military men who will be deserting in droves from IOU's by their corrupt government. The day is closing fast be ready my fellow citizens.

We make nothing in this country anymore, manufacturing used to be 50% of GDP it's now 10% of GDP. Our manufacturing base has been shipped overseas and our government gives tax credits to corporations that send them overseas. When you are given a stimulus check you spend it on Chinese junk because nothing is made here anymore a double whammy the money goes somewhere else you just spent. How sick is that! The Rich are getting richer and the poor (You Workers) can't keep up anymore because the house you added a double mortgage too is worth 60% of what it once was worth when you were using it as a credit card. You have been doped by the financial sector into this facade of an economy in the financial field. It's OK your not the only sucker to ever fall for this ponzi scheme it has happened before in America and almost anywhere capitalism has been left to play out it's evil ending.

It is just a matter of time until the people of this country wake up and say enough is enough. It really doesnt matter what "side" you are on anymore. The politicians are fucking us all.

Half the members of congress are millionaires. Some are democrats some are republicans. How many have actually had to go out and hold down a blue collar job where they were basically living paycheck to paycheck? How many of them kept a shit job because at the time it payed the bills or provided them with healthcare? How many of them worried about their jobs when they hear about "another round of lay-offs"

Not many would be my guess.

Big companies are screwing us too. Their CEO's make obscene amounts of money while they lay off workers. Bonus's are paid and workers benefits are cut. Hours are stretched so companies can do without hiring more employees and paying their benefits. Safety is compromised at the expense of worker safety. I see it every day at the factories I have picked up at. Its a sad state of affairs. Its time to quit being a "good democrat" or a "good republican" and start being a good American. In real times of trouble, your "party" or your "corporation" wont help you, your neighbor will. Do whats right for them. And that is whats right for you.

We are on the verge of revolution. People are waking up every day. Very soon there will be events taking place that will cause people en masse to take to the streets in angry protest, perhaps when they start rationing food and prices skyrocket for basic essential like milk, eggs, fruits and vegetables. They are already trying to pass laws to ciminalize organic food production. Not everybody has the space or the where with all or the seeds to maintain their own gardens that could really put a dent into their food budgets. Another area is energy. When electricity doubles again in the next few years, natural gas doubles, and then gasoline goes up again, but this time over $5 per gallon, this is going to cause a backlash of rage. When we start seeing more and more children abandoned on the streets or found murdered by their parents by the thousands in family suicides, there will be a backlash of rage.

Its funny to me that I happened to watch, for about the 10th time, V For Vendetta. That movie is extremely prophetic for our times. We are on that verge of a totalitarian corporatist fascist dictatorship in this country. I know people are saying that Obama is leading us all into the hands of the dictators, but he is just another pawn in a long list of pawns that can be traced back to before John F Kennedy was president. You really have to have been alive for the past 5 decades and be a pretty open minded and critical person to see what has transpired over the last half century. Sure we have had incredible technological progress, but with regard to social justice, we have slipped back into the dark ages (so to speak). The middle class has been replaced by the Professional Managerial class, they are the local bosses. Our governmental representatives have become like crime family division bosses along with the president, who is like a deputy to the real crime bosses, the globalists who profit regardless of whethere the economy is up or down.

As much as I dislike Corsi, I watched him on CSPAN today, and you know, he made a lot of sense. America For Sale is exactly what we have been warning you all about for several years now. We are being sold out. Soon there will be nothing left to loose, even our very lives. What good is a life without liberty and the prospect of rising above your assigned station in life. Once the American Dream has been fully revealed for the fraud it is, then the sooner we will begin the bloody task of overcoming these crime bosses and taking back our country from the profiteer globalists.

The one thing he said that stuck with me was his advice to families on how to weather the long recession/depression that lies ahead. He advised that families get back together and that brothers and sisters and mother and fathers and uncles and aunts and grandparents all start moving into together, to have as many breadwinners pooling their resources in order to keep their homes and their family businesses going. We are going to have to start hiring family members to replace workers to lower costs and save money. He says that there are other ways that people can learn to fight back. Communities can be empowered through the creation of local currencies and strict policies of local production of goods and services so the money stays in the local community. Stop shopping at WalMart or Costco, both are dominated by Chinese produced goods. COSTCO stands for China Overseas Trading Company for goddsake. Start shopping at local farmers markets, buy locally produced dairy products, locally produced meats, locally produced clothing. Go out and purchase a sewing machine and start shopping at thrift stores and redesign old clothes into new. There are a myriad of ways to stop the bleeding of our money into the hands of globalists. This is no a partisan issue, we are all affected, Right, Left and in the middle.

I for one am ready for revolution and when the time is right, I will do whatever it takes to protect my America.

Knowing about the history of unions in this country only makes it evident that there is nothing the ruling class prefers than wiping out a violent insurrection. They will infiltrate any movement & push them in that direction for that will give them the rationalization & media hoopla to stamp them like the socialist, commie, leftist insects they are perceived & wickedly denounced as... not as people in search of human dignity against child chewing monsters elites & their cronies...so what else is new ?

    SAMPLE

1919-1972: UNITED STATES. Mitchell Palmer takes office as Attorney General of the United States. As Alien Property Custodian during the Great War, the country's highest legal official had seized millions of dollars worth of German assets which had, by amazing coincidence, ended up in the hands of his friends and cronies.

    J. Edgar Hoover is made special assistant to Palmer and heads a new section of the "Justice" Department, the General Intelligence Division, established to gather information on "revolutionary and ultra radical" people in the United States. (Translation into English: mainly workers trying to organize into effective unions in order to improve deplorable wages and working conditions and socialists who supported them.)

Hoover's half-century-long assault on the law, on the U.S. Constitution and on the people of the United States has begun. He builds a massive index on "left wingers" which includes half a million names along with more detailed files on sixty thousand people. Hoover uses thousands of illegal wiretaps and informers to spy on Americans. Hoover hires his ultra-right wing friend, George Ruch as his assistant. Ruch, apparently never having heard of the Constitution, expresses astonishment that left wingers "should be allowed to speak and write all they want against the government." Imagine that!

When Ruch leaves Hoover's side to head the "industrial police" of a Pittsburgh coal company, Hoover assigns Justice Department agents to train Ruch's goon squads in the techniques which will be used to terrorize union workers.

In November 1919, the notorious Palmer raids begin under the Sedition Act and the Espionage Act. Palmer's agents raid the offices of the Union of Russian Workers in a dozen cities throughout the U.S. Hundreds of people are arrested, many are severely beaten by police and there are accusations of torture. Hoover at the "Justice" Department "handles" the raids. Virtually all of the victims will be found to be innocent of any crime and are eventually released without charge.

Hoover systematically persecutes workers, especially those trying to organize in the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) and, in January 1920, another six thousand people are arrested, mostly members of the IWW. Union members are rounded up and railroaded out of towns throughout the U.S. Often, the roundups turn violent and end in murder. Labor leaders frequently face trumped up charges and when these fail to stop the labor movement, the cross dressing homosexual Hoover uses blackmail and real or manufactured sex scandals to intimidate, smear and discredit labor organizers. The BI sets up phony union locals and packs them with informants.

During a single night, Palmer's agents arrest over four thousand people. From November 1919 to January 1920, over ten thousand people are arrested, the largest mass arrests in U.S. history. Thousands of the arrest warrants are ultimately cancelled as being illegal.

Hoover goes after Emma Goldman who has been very wickedly exercising her theoretical free speech rights and advocating free love and birth control and, gasp, criticizing organized religion. Can't be havin' none of that in the land of the free.

The Rockefeller-financed revolution in Russia having succeeded, the Commie bogeyman is now a useful tool of social control and is used to create a climate of fear and loathing in U.S. The great "Red Scare" is used to prevent the development of an independent and meaningful labor movement in the U.S. To keep things moving along, Attorney General Palmer announces that a communist revolution will take place in the United States on May 1, 1920. Of course, no such thing happens.

On May 28, 1920, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) publishes its Report of the Illegal Practices of the United States Department of "Justice". The report thoroughly documents the crime spree of Palmer and Hoover including unawful authorization of arrests, illegal entrapment by agent provocateurs and unlawful detention without access to counsel. Palmer is called before the House Rules Committee where he devoutly defends his American Gestapo. "I apologize for nothing that the Department of Justice has done in this matter," he says, "I glory in it."

If fascism ever came to the United States, it would be wrapped in an American flag.
    - Huey Long

In June 1920, Judge George Anderson effectively ends the Palmer Raids when he orders the discharge of twenty "aliens" who have been unlawfully arrested and denounces the actions of the Department of "Justice".

MAKING THE WORLD SAFE FOR HYPOCRISY
    http://mtwsfh.blogspot.com

This is what is called, in the history biz, a revisionist history. American history, at least as far as the general public knows it, is in desperate need of revision, bringing what is taught and what is said about America's past more in line with the truth.

Making the World Safe For Hypocrisy is a chronology of the largely suppressed history of the United States. It is the history that good upstanding Americans are not supposed to know.

Almost everything you read here is based on publicly available information and most historians know all about it. And yet they remain strangely silent, allowing the fantasyland, propagandized version of American history and the fatuous pseudo-patriotic nonsense spewed by politicians and the mass media to stand unchallenged.

    ANTI-AMERICAN?

Whenever anyone dares to point out the painfully obvious fact that the U.S. and its leaders have for two hundred years consistently acted in a fashion diametrically opposed to the values which America claims to represent, that person is instantly accused of being anti-American.

Am I anti-American? I don't think so. But, if believing in free speech and real democracy is anti-American, then I guess I am. If believing that a government should not lie endlessly is anti-American, then I guess I am. If believing that a government should not spy on its own citizens is anti-American, then I guess I am. If believing that a government should not kidnap, torture and murder is anti-American, then I guess I am. If believing that a government shouldn't slaughter millions of innocent people simply to further enrich the same old handful of psychopathic bastards and their offspring is anti-American, then I guess I am.

    THIRD WORLD AMERICA !
    http://current.com/items/89833556_third-world-america.htm

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge -- even to ourselves -- that we've been so credulous“ - Carl Sagan

Hoodwinked: Former Economic Hit Man John Perkins Reveals Why the World Financial Markets Imploded—and How to Remake Them
    http://www.democracynow.org/2009/11/10/hoodwinked_former_economic_hit_man_john

Welcome, John. Well, for starters, though we’ve discussed this before, what exactly does an “economic hit man” mean?

JOHN PERKINS: Well, Amy, I think it’s fair to say that we economic hit men have managed to create the world’s first truly global empire. And it’s basically a secret empire.
We do it in many ways, but principally, we identify a country that has resources that corporations covet, like oil, arrange a huge loan to that country from the World Bank or one of its sisters. The money never actually goes to the country; it goes to our own corporations to build the infrastructure projects in that country that help a few very wealthy people, but don’t benefit the majority of the people, who are too poor to buy electricity or have cars to drive on the highways. And yet, they’re left holding a huge debt that they can’t repay.
So we go back at some point and say, “You know, you can’t pay your debts. Give us a pound of flesh. Sell your oil real cheap to our oil companies. Vote with us on the next critical UN vote. Allow us to build a military base in your backyard.” Something along these lines.
And when we fail—as I talk in my books, I failed with Jaime Roldos, president of Ecuador, Omar Torrijos of Panama—the Jackals go in and either overthrow or assassinate these leaders. And if the Jackals fail, as they did in Iraq, then we send in the military.

AMY GOODMAN: And what personal experience do you have to prove this?

JOHN PERKINS: Well, I was there. You know, I was with Jaime Roldos in Ecuador. I was the guy—one of the guys who was supposed to corrupt him, bring him around, and Omar Torrijos of Panama and many others. When I failed with those two gentlemen, the Jackals went in and assassinated both of them. And I was there; I was in those front lines. My official title was chief economist of Charles T. Main. I had about three dozen employees working for me and did this for ten years, and finally saw the light.
But I think what’s—you know, what’s really important about all this is that in this period of time, since the 1970s, and really beginning very strongly in the 1980s, we’ve created what I consider a mutant, viral form of capitalism. Earlier on the program, you showed the statistics of 37 percent of the people in the survey not believing that capitalism is working. I don’t think the failure is capitalism. I think it’s the specific kind of capitalism that we’ve developed in the last thirty or forty years, particularly beginning with the time of Reagan and Milton Friedman’s economic theories, which stress that the only goal of business is to maximize profit, regardless of the social and environmental costs, and not to regulate businesses at all—regulation is bad, all forms—and to privatize everything, so that everything is run by private business. And this mutant form of capitalism, which I think is really a predatory form of capitalism, has created an extremely unstable, unsustainable, unjust and very, very dangerous world.

Here's another one on your way down the rabbit hole ;)

In a nutshell, a book that reveals what you won't see on television or read in the paper because the corporate owners of the media don't want you to know that they've grabbed up rights that belong to the American people:

"Thom Hartmann takes on these most difficult questions and tells a startling story that will forever change your understanding of American history. Amongst a deep historical context, Hartmann the describes the history of the Fourteenth Amendment--created at the end of the Civil War to grant basic rights to freed slaves--and how it has been used by lawyers representing corporate interests to extend additional rights to businesses far more frequently than to freed slaves. Prior to 1886, corporations were referred to in U.S. law as "artificial persons." But in 1886, after a series of cases brought by lawyers representing the expanding railroad interests, the Supreme Court ruled that corporations were "persons" and entitled to the same rights granted to people under the Bill of Rights. Since this ruling, America has lost the legal structures that allowed for people to control corporate behavior."

For anyone who wants to understand how corporations came to acquire rights reserved for individual citizens, this is vital and timely reading (think about the hundreds of millions of dollars corporations invest in lobbying and campaign funds to own our elected officials on Capitol Hill.)

"Unequal Protection should be in the hands of every thinking American. If we do not awaken soon, democracy will be replaced by a new 'Third Reich' of corporate tyranny. To be aware of the danger is the responsibility of each of us. No one has told us the truth better than Thom Hartmann. Read it!"
--Gerry Spence, author of Give Me Liberty!

"Hartmann combines a remarkable piece of historical research witj a brilliant literary style to tell the grand story of corporate corruption and its consequences for society with the force and reeadability of a great novel. I intended to take a first glance and then couldn't put it down."
--David C. Korten, author of When Corporations Rule The World
