In May President Obama read the Israelis the riot act, telling the Israeli government that he was serious about ending the Israeli conflict with the Palestinians and that a lasting peace agreement required the Israeli government to abandon all construction of new settlements in the occupied West Bank.
On November 10 Obama’s White House chief of staff, Rahm Israel Emanuel, surrendered for his boss at the annual conference of the United Jewish Communities. The ongoing Israeli settlements, he said, should not be a “distraction” to a peace agreement.
Allegedly, the US is a superpower and Israel is a client state whose very existence depends entirely on US military and economic aid and diplomatic protection. Yet, in the real world it works the other way. Israel is the superpower and the US is its client state.

By 0bama's foreign policy standards, Israel has every right to tell the America "shove it".
Oh my god, could this be, a,a,a double standard?

When are we going to get the balls and say "NO MORE" we need to start taking care of our own. All the money Israel gets from us should be stopped and put in for medical care for us.

The article reads:
"When the dollar finally goes, so will the government’s ability to conduct wars of aggression, underwrite Israel, finance its red ink and pay for imports. That’s when the printing press will really get going"Unfortunately, by the time that happens, there will be extensive third world standards in the US and I am being optimistic.

An interesting read no doubt. It posits things that make one think. We should all challenge our beliefs. Upon doing so, we should all be able to see the difference between realities and simulacra. However, for those who can't here is a brief video.

Another post full of deceit, fabrication and cheap racist dissembling. Judea and Samaria.....aka the west bank.....East Jerusalem and Gaza are Jewish land that is illegally occupied by Arabs. Period. The rest is vicious humbug and not even worth discussing.

What the WHAT!? Do the Israeli's have some kind of dirt on us? Did someone slip them the nuke codes?
I care about Israel as much as I care about Palestine but they gotta stop using clubs out there and start using olive twigs. How can we tolerate this?

I don't get it; All of North African citizens are Arabs of some species or another and the Middle east has been since the human races separated from our Anthropoid ancestors, all Arabs too. Ancient tribes as the Hittites, The Philistines etc are the remnants of the modern Arab nations. The Jews are not Arabs they are known as Semites. According to the dictionary, their language is associated to middle eastern Assyrians, Hebrews, Hamitic. Israel is all about the fictitious five books of the bible or the Talmud. The early Jews made sure of their place in the bible by declaring that God has made them his chosen People. The Jews may or may not have an Arabic bloodline but it has been contested since the days of the Persian Empire. They are situated on the mediterranean coast only because of the British scribed Balfour Declaration signed in 1917 allowing them to remain. They are not Arabs yet religious fanatics swear that their God made the world and therefore are the chosen people of God and have the right to exist where ever they decide to settle down. From history they have existed all the way from Persia (Iran) to Assyria and finally in Palestine. To uplift a complete nation and declare or make war on that nation for so many years is inconceivable and uncivilized.
Note:Balfour, Arthur James (Earl of Balfour) 1848-1930, A British Statesman and writer and prime minister from 1902-1905.
The Balfour Declaration: A statement Nov 2, 1917 that the British Government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, but that nothing be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing Jewish communities in Palestine. (Even the Balfour Declaration accepts Palestine as the nation to be evicted from their lands like a herd of cattle being sent off to market.) Is it any wonder that these people have been at war for so long. It is similar to the present condition here in America today where people are being evicted from their homes and nowhere to go. Many people are using murder and suicide because of the hopelessness. Now can you see also where the Present day Palestinians have been facing a hopeless and violent future for so many years. They don't dare to have a dream. Death awaits them at every corner outside. The real reason for this may be that the Rothschilds were instrumental in Wellingtons victory over Napoleon at Waterloo. The Rothschilds had financed the british and possibly Napoleon too. However the Rothschilds have been a favorite of the Britiish to this day as Evelyn de Rothschild is still an advisor to the British crown and the Queen.
Stradius; yes they have religion on us. Like I repeated above They claim to be Gods chosen people and since the government can control the people through any tax free religion, It is the curse that the government and religion hold over the people. Religion is powerful when it is used to brainwash a complete nation and world. The Christian religions have been rather domesticated over the years but Islam and Zionism are both extreme and dangerous as international dogma's.

If we abandon Israel it will fall to the moslims but before it does Isreal will use nuclear weapons in an attempt to survive and cause world wide catastrophy. We have painted ourselves into a corner we can't escape ever! the situation in the middle east is so unstable that we must continue to back up Israel! therefore it will never be resolved peacefully, and Israel knows we have no choice and play it for all it's worth!

I'm tired of arguing this. You want to feel sorry for the peace loving Palestinians, knock yourself out. Better yet, go give'm a hand. They're always looking for new folks to help pull the lanyards.

"Editor's note: Dan Senor is an author, adjunct senior fellow for Middle East studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, and an investor in Israeli companies. Saul Singer is an author and a columnist for the Jerusalem Post. They are co-authors of the new book, "Start-Up Nation: The Story of Israel's Economic Miracle" (Twelve Books).
New York (CNN) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returns to Washington, D.C., Monday to address a conference of the American Jewish Federations at a time of concern in Israel that the U.S.-Israel relationship is adrift.
Although Netanyahu has used each of his recent U.S. visits to make the case for confronting Iran and its nuclear ambitions, he might consider broadening the subject.
Israel's leader should speak to Americans not just about what threatens Israel, or what Israel's critics say, but also on what is unique about his nation's economy at a time of great economic uncertainty for Americans, when the unemployment rate here has just crossed the 10 percent threshold.
Israel has stood out among advanced economies as a place where the crisis hit softer, and may have passed quicker, than almost anywhere else. Israel's economic growth has not been based on easy credit or a real estate boom, but on the technology-driven productivity gains that economists believe is the key to sustained economic growth.
So what are the lessons for the U.S. economy?
The answer is not a mystery. In 1987, MIT economist Robert Solow received the Nobel Prize for his work demonstrating that productivity increases are the basis for durable growth, and the main source of increased productivity is innovation, and especially technological innovation. "
Don't be too sure of anyone's demise yet:)

This is interesting.

Especially this comment from Akus:
‘’DNA research at Hadassah by Professor Ariela Oppenheim, Devorah Filon, and Marina Feyerman has shown strong links between Ashkenazi Jews and many West Bank Arabs and Bedouin, some of who actually preserve old Jewish rituals similar to those of the “conversos”. In fact, the research has shown that the DNA of many WB Arabs is closer to that of Ashkenazi Jews than to other Arabs. The cause, which is about the only part of Sand’s theory,is that these Arabs are descended from Jews who were forced to convert when the Moslems invaded the area .
This was all reported in a fascinating broadcast on Israel TV on May 1, 2009. (I transcribed it – it runs to several pages). In one scene, we see an Arab taking out a set of tefillin (phylacteries) from a secret hiding place in his house and explaining that he puts them on when there is sickness in the family or other troubles as a way, he hopes, of curing the ill or overcoming the problem. We see Bedouin women discussing when the proper time is to light Sabbath candles and circumcise their sons, and gravestones in a village with niches for a candle, similar to old Jewish traditions.
Sand has apparently completely messed up. Instead of taking this research, and using it to show that today’s Ashkenazi Jews are, in fact, directly tied to the land of Israel and represent a coherent group that left the area and maintained their identity for millenia, he somehow drew exactly the opposite conclusion and chased after the Khazar myth, while accepting that many of the WB Arabs are descended from the Jews who remained after the Roman conquest.
That does not invalidate the fact that the Jews who spread throughout the world and did not convert to Islam are Jewish and derive from ancestors in the land of Israel, mainly from Roman times. The more interesting question is why Arabs who accept that they derive from the Jews have not returned to their original faith now that the threat of the sword has been lifted from their necks.
So – perhaps the solution to the I/P problem is for the Arabs on the WB to convert back to Judaism and then include Judea and Samaria as part of the State of Israel …’’
