Burger King sues Burger King over $1 double cheeseburgers
The double cheeseburger promotion means that franchise owners are selling their sandwiches at a ten cent loss. Not surprisingly, franchise owners are PISSED and are suing Burger King.

I don't care if the fast food market fails or not I try not to eat much of that kind of food. It's not healthy for me besides a Whataburger is better.

I think its common in foodservice to have "loss leaders". The execs at BK knew they would lose 10cents a sandwich but decided that it was an ultimately profitable decision. People come in and buy other things. The sodas are ninety-something percent profit.
