One small step for me today, one giant leap for our Planet Earth, if others follow, use local sewing talent for clothing.
I found someone on craigslist who might make me for me; even better to ask one of our relatives, who is a talented seamstress, as a hobby, if she would like to make it for me for $60 including fabric, instead of buying into this system that is disrespecting our planet and dignity. She might have time and enjoy the pocket money.
I urge others to consider doing the same. We do not need to sleep walk to Walmart or other chain stores to buy things that don't agree with our principals.
One small step for me today, is one giant leap for our Planet Earth, if others follow this simple step. Also great for community building instead of following the pack to the mall with a credit card.

Hi-If you can even find organic cotton made in the USA it would be cost prohibitive. I found organic cotton terry from India & it was almost $30 yd. It takes a couple yd at least for a robe. You may be able to find something online already made but doubt it ill befrom USA.Sadly, most of the mills in America are gone & fabrics are from India or China.GailWow Gail that is sad.
Here is a link to an innovative group doing similar.
I wonder if I might find some second hand fabric or vintage..I also love my hemp shirt..
