What Side of the Brain Are You?

If you see this going clockwise then you are right brain side user, and vice versa .. you can concentrate to make it go the other way. it might be a delusion , but two people watching it at the same time can see it going in a different way.

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

    right brained

I can get it to spin the other way as well. The secret is to stare at the foot.

Now, here's a challange-- can you make your brain think that the bottom half turns in one direction and the top half turns in the opposite direction? I can!

    Apparently I'm right sided.

Though I could get it to switch.

right brain-schmight brain. The whole left-brain right-brain thing is a total oversimplification of the way the brain actually works. It's actually a lot cooler than that.

Also, I see it going clockwise... before I get accused of being a stuffy rocket-scientist.

see i definately see this going clockwise, which makes sense, im a musician and was going to be doing english at uni, im doing biology instead now, but loving it :D and i fucking love day dreaming ;)

Ok, weird I looked at it and it was going clockwise, and then I look back at it and it's going counterclockwise.

  •

Oh I see part way thru it switches... the change at three and a half minutes in threw me for a loop.

  •

The best way to learn to switch it is to picture her foot like its a hand of a clock when it gets to three o'clock going clockwise jump your vision to twelve o'clock and you should be able to see it going counter clock wise, to do the opposite look at 9 o'clock. It will end up looking like shes going back in fourth from 3 to 9 after awhile.

My brain hurts now LOL. right brained. then a couple of times, it started going counter-clockwise. So i rewound it, and it was clockwise again...

I couldn't get it to go counter-clockwise until they provided the help. I'm a mathematician which one might assume would imply left brained, but I'm an intuitive mathematician, not a logical one. I'm also a musician. I probably am more right brained than left.

This is not a valid test for anything.

But people eat this kind of shit up.

Also, here's a little "hack" of the spinning girl illusion which may help people see her spin in both directions. The author also attempts to show which direction the animated dancing girl GIF image was intended to spin.

    http://ofb.net/~whuang/imgs/spin/

And here's another take on the spinning dancer image which says, "If the test sounds flawed, that’s not just because one shouldn’t use spinning dancers to characterize their brain strengths. Rather, the test is coming up inaccurate because it provides a crude view of the “lateralization of brain function,” or the concept that each side of the human brain specializes in certain mental activities."

    http://www.scienceline.org/2007/10/29/ask-hsu-spinning-girl-right-left-brain-hem...

But as I mentioned before, people eat this shit up in the same way that people love "learning interesting things about themselves" through various "personality tests" found online and elsewhere - the ones that are about as valid as the tests that can be found in Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Most of the time clockwise but if I stare long enough she switches..... I was born right brained, had to exercise to get the left to kick in when needed! =D

Right Brained, love art, love reading, love creative creative writing, day dreaming.

    And I fucking hate sports.

I'm partial on Dogs, but I'm becoming more of a cat person

I also and for logic, and quiet,
    This can't hold much weight.

  •

all right brain... i can't get this thing to spin any other way.
