Thank you for posting that. It was a interesting read. Have you seen the World According To MONSANTO? It addresses many of those issues in depth.

You're welcome. Good to see other environmental organizations finally publicly responding to the lies about GMOs. And yes, I've seen it many times. You can also find it in it's entirety on my group:

This is a good point to be made. There is a view, it seems, that environmentalists, statists, and pacifists don't believe in prosperity, productivity and security.
It's really quite the opposite. We desire sustainable systems that provide for the needs of the citizenry:
Sustainable, decentralized energy production = more prosperity, productivity and security
Transparency and regulation of the food supply = prosperity, productivity and security
Nationalized health care = prosperity, productivity and security
Transparency and regulation of wall street = prosperity, productivity and security
Ending wars and using soft power to quell insurgencies and bring health to war-torn nations and economies = prosperity, productivity and security
Balancing the budget by increasing the taxes on the rich = prosperity, productivity and security
Elimination of legislated morality = prosperity, productivity and security.
(I can back every one of these statements up with factual evidence, by the way)
I think it's quite ironic that the conservatives have a view of progressives that they just make up issues that get in the way of business-as-usual or because they are bitter.

CreditFigaro: I couldn't agree with you more. I also wish we could believe in those things and be seen for who we are: humans who care about sustainability, respect for the Earth, and liberty, rather than being marginalized and demonized for it through media and political labelling.
