GOP Senator Wants To Let Mentally Incapacitated' Vets Buy Guns
Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) says his "Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act" will protect veterans' gun rights. But the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence calls it a "dangerous" proposal that could allow "over 100,000 mentally incapacitated or incompetent persons" to buy guns--people who would previously have been barred from doing so by the Veterans Administration (VA).

Equating gun violence to terrorism is stupid. Vets put their life on the line for this country. The 2nd amendment protects all gun owners. Trying to exclude them will do even more damage, if that's possible. These nit-wits needs to decide if they want a draft or a volunteer force. I prefer volunteer. That way, I'm pretty sure when Iay my head down at night, there are real Patroits protecting this country because they want to. Trying to take away their rights for fighting in a war would be just one more reason not to volunteer.

Every U.S. citizen over 18 years of age should be required to wear a holstered, loaded .45 revolver and carry at least $500 cash at all times. Credit cards should by abolished and checking accounts prohibited. Once the playing field has been leveled in this way, those with the most accurate aim will prevail and America will once again become the paradise it was once the Indians had been slaughtered and the oil men had not yet gained control.

The Brady Campaign's numbers are way low. There are far, far more Republican supporters in this nation.
