A solid point... But it really depends on how much the democrats mobilize their voters. A lot of younger democrats are less consistent with voting, compared with republicans. If they mobilize, it'll probably be Obama.

To be fair, Jay, did you watch the video? He specifically said he thought her looks were her best asset. Stewart doesn't like her because she has no substance.. she's just more of the same; George Bush in a skirt.

The fact that he even mentioned her looks proves the point. Does he mention the looks of male candidates?

And he's ignorant of her because if he knew what she has said so well he wouldn't state she's more than the same....but he would state that if he wanted to pander to his audience.

Mentioning gender-related details does not make the statement about gender. Indeed, Sarah Palin makes a great deal of ruckus about her being a woman and mother, but that is not the main substance of her message. And when our critiques include a glancing, non-derogatory reference to her gender, it is not meant to be interpreted as the primary substance either. Particularly when people are generally highlighting(over and over) the things she does, says, and stands for.

This really shouldn't have to be set aside and illustrated...

Technically, Jon Stewart didn't bring up her looks, a couple of FOX News commentators did. Of some of the reasons why people don't like Palin, they mentioned that she is an attractive woman. Stewart is not being sexist, he is responding to such accusations. If he decides to have fun in doing so, then that's his prerogative. But by countering the pundits who say that people don't like Sarah Palin because of how she looks by saying that, no we actually like how she looks, its her policies that we don't like, Jon is not being sexist.

Why would Jon Stewart ever make a comment on a male candidate's looks? He's not exactly gay. By that criteria, a woman who makes a point that Obama is hotter than McCain, even though she thinks he is not good enough, is sexist? Hardly...
