Like many adopted children, Matthew embarked on a mission to find his biological parents. He wanted to know, most especially, his father and see if there is any identity of him in what the son has become today.
Curious and confused, he pressed his mother for more information until she finally revealed the awful truth in a series of letters. She admitted having been raped by his father in a drug-fueled orgy in 1967.
Matthew, who is the spitting image of his serial killer-father, Charles Manson, is said to have fallen into depression after discovering his identity.

Lolitanimatronic is this before or after the killings. I'm pretty sure he is who he says he is. That is basically how they operated. Did you see that Deb Tate interview where she said if it wasn't for them she would have had (i think she said...not sure) a nephew. Well here is what they dug up.

I don't know. I fully recognize that I may be wrong. But I'm just not buying what this guy's selling. Google him and you'll see he's used this plenty and often, it appears, to get himself attention. He seems to me as though he's intentionally trying to mimic mannerisms...

I feel sorry for Matthew. That would be awful to hear, true or not. I wish the mother had fudged on the truth...drug-fueled orgy--no way of knowing who the father is.

Hopefully gets past this. Manson is a disturbed person indeed but he was a product of a combination of unique factors among them an abusive neglectful prostitute mother and the harsh reality of a youth in jail and the drug culture of the 60s along with psychotic tendencies created a mix of madness and hate plus he should keep in mind Manson is a unique case he can not hate himself for his paternal connection he is what he is and just being his son does not make you him in any way he is more than the the sum of his biology as we all are

That's the good thing about life, you don't have to be like either of your parents or siblings. You get to make all the decisions on what you are and what you are to become. Just like if you screwed up in your past you don't have to let that be your future.

To me this seems hoaxy, but until there is real proof, I don't believe it. Regardless, if I had found out Manson was my father I would tell no one.
I will admit, I liked Manson's music, and that is the only reason I would tell anyone I was related to that crazy fucker...however folk and metal are very different.

Charles Manson isn't exactly an ancestor that anyone would be proud to be a descendant of. There is a huge, negative, stigma associated with that name, so why would you expect him to furbish evidence of the damning association?

In this September 2008 Spin article about Anton LaVey, Matthew Robert makes an appearance: "It's his friend, Matthew Robert, who claims to be the son of Charles Manson. (His proof? He, um, 'has letters,' LaVey says.)"

Eh. This guy has been making this claim for years. He uses it to try to make his band, New Rising Son, successful. He has no real proof, of course.
From his MySpace page: "Welcome to his world- the first lyric in the title song, New Rising Son, says it all - what would you do if you found out Charley Manson raped your mom?" http://www.myspace.com/newrisingsonJust seems like he's milking a juicy rumor to me.

bummer, although surely his life so far proves that evil is not necessarily genetic, he doesn't have to be summed up by his father's deeds.

I wonder if he has tried any of the drugs that his father was into. I would bet that Charles Manson was addicted to drugs and addictive behavior is genetic. So it wouldn't surprise me that this guy is into drugs. Not that he looks like it, just a guess.

I don't believe this for a second. This is just some idiot claiming it's true to get his fifteen minutes. Let's all do each other a favor and stop telling people that they look like someone famous, or infamous, because it puts terrible ideas in their heads. You're not a celebrity, get used to it and get back to work.

Sins of the father should NOT visit the son. I hope one day he can see that who his father is does not determine who he is. Plan your own way through this life, my brotha, set your own course. It's all good. It's gonna be alright.

The point being does he exhibit any of the psychological or personality traits of the father? If not then he can address the situation with a positive spin. Manson was using drugs himself and on others so maybe this man won't behave the same way anyway. Plus he has genes of his mother!
I don't think he looks that much like Manson, except for his eye and hair coloring. He doesn't look short and scraggly and the shape of his face is different as well as his general build.
Once he gets over the whole Manson thing and is treated for the depression maybe he can use his experience to help others. Seeking ones birth parents doesn't always end pleasantly, it usually opens up a can of worms. - 3 months ago
