    • Very cool....but this isn't something all people would enjoy. He is a man who likes an un-social and 100% self-sustained life. Personally I would like to live a farm life, but not a cave life.

I want to live in the forest. And when I think about people - in their filth, stretched out t-shirts, loud mouths and cheap beer...

How 'bout just the green forest, squirrels and deer? The gentle breeze.

    • Well, I can surely agree you that in "the bush," can SUCK from time time, but what's the difference in getting eaten alive by Wall St. GREEDY MONEY-eating Financial banking investing/financiers...than being eaten alive by bees, snakes, grizzle-bear, mountain lions, etc. as least one EXPECTS to come into contact with them and can watch out from them, but the unexpecting Wall St investor, takes for too much granted that HIS/HER financial best interest is being looked after, but then find out that we have been eaten live as we sleep!! That also goes for the right/left washington dc politicians (lawyers/crooks) and the likes, that PREY upon OUR taxpaid...monies, as they OBLIGATE US to DECADES of paying back P&I that should never have been spent/issue and/or legislated, thus, maybe, just maybe, we'd be a hold lot better protected OUT IN THE BUSH or living in this guys' CAVE-neighbor hood..:-) Just saying..:-) Have a great T-Day ahead and weekend!! Life is good, as each one of us are the captain's of our own ship and master of our own soul, in what is still ....a FREE democracy of governance OF the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE and for the PEOPLE!!..:-) until....we give up and decide to live in a cave...then THEY have WON!!..:-)

Yeah, I know a lot of people have their money in Wall St, etc - but I say it's just so stupid.

What do you hope get? a profit? You mean you are hoping someone else will lose their money so that it'll slide into your pocket - ?

But, of course, and as you point out, your the one who is the loser; not the people running the game.
I think everyone should have to give a two-week notice if they want to sell stock.

Otherwise, it's just a gambling hall that has the fix in.

It's just other people wanting to put your money in their pocket.

    • Awesome, now he can enjoy a shorter lifespan, little to no bathing and wiping his ass with leaves.

This return to tribalism/agrarianism is a really annoying trend from pseudo-leftists.

Go camping for a week, not bullshit camping, a real backpacking trip with just you a sleeping bag and some food. You'll be longing for civilization before the week is up, sooner if you get hurt.

We left the bush for a reason, it sucked. For all its ills, civilization is clearly much better than abandoning reason and intelligence for a false sense of innocence.

Saladin,............I agree with you on almost all your posts,...but on this one....

If a man can manage to find a way,...to live alone, subject primarily to his own limitations to provide for himself, rather than be beholden to a tribal compact of some sort............do you REALLY want to wish him failure?

This is not meant as a rhetorical question.

    • Yeah, now they'll kick him out.
Do you know that each and every one us is entitled to 160 acres? That's from Ben Franklin and the boys.
But it got stolen and knifed up, first by the railroads. n' then the timber industry - and oil men, etc.

They own YOUR LAND. What nobody told you?

Someone must-a forgot to mention it.

You're too late. It's all been taken. You had to get to the courthouse to record your claim and you didn't get there soon enough! Sorry. Now you'll actually have to work for it, borrow the money from the bank. Pay a real estate broker, a land/property assessor, a lawyer, sales taxes, propriety taxes, you'll need to pass the perk test, the zoning board, the township, the commission for utility rights, is it lien free? You'll have to publish an announcement in the paper or or oh, forget it....

    • It is a shame no pictures of interior decor were shown...he lives in a cave, yet he is not a caveman per se - and if there are still cavemen of the modern day, devolution is in hindsight.

    • How many of us have thought of doing just that? The way the banks treat customers, private and small businesses, since the bailouts and the already ridiculous taxes we pay as the threat for them going higher looms on...... it seems the least we could do is go back to cash only and no ownership of property so they can't find us and keep on bleeding us dry...
Run, run as fast and as far as you can. Who hasn't even vaguely, thought of this? Raise your hand!

    • Now you've DONE IT!!!!...U have let the "cat out of the bag," as U NOW have informed the US-GOV where 2 find you/us ALL, as U have exactly shown where we all will be/are residing (IN PEACE!!!), & just a short time, our GOV-"leadership" & Wall-St "leadership"...& our Congressional "leadership" will have given us NO OTHER CHOICE, but to elect to reside as UR "close encountered" neighbors, which in just a short time will B re-zoned 2B REPRESESNTED by local, state & Federal congressional district representives....who as U R fully aware --can/will make a Paradise existence, in to a PIG's Stie(sp)...but UNTIL THEN, my courageous future neighbor, I tip 2 U my over-taxed cap, 4U finding the best future abode. Back 2 the Basics I say, as I was raised on our small 160 acre North Central TX family farm...and the Fed-Gov didn't even seem to EXIST in our LIVES..as we created our own successful existence. If we needed something/anything, we either (A) made it out of whatever raw materials we had on the farm, or (B) repaired it, or (C) paid 4 it with CA$H. If we didn't have the CA$H, and/or couldn't do steps A or B, we did WITHOUT IT!! It worked FINE, back THEN, so why can't it work NOW?..:-) Happy existing to ya!!

    • Wudang Mountain. Look to the TAOISTS MASTERS who dig caves in, at Wudang Mountain, when readying the body to return from whence it came when the MIND co-created the "energy." It makes sense: ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

    • I wish I could do the same, I seem to be too entangled right now. I would love to live with just the basics, as man was intended to live all along, with basic animal instincts and needs.

    • Right on, a modern day cave man. I am all for a return to the simple demands of a cromagnon work day of hunting, gathering, scavenging, trading, and some creative conservation. Oh yeah, a serene and peaceful outdoor existence situated in a cave amongst a natural wonderland, that is the life. Hooray for cavemen!
