The Manhattan Declaration was released November 20, 2009 while Mormon Elders were ahead of the curve by 14 years releasing in 1995 their proclamation calling “upon responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society.”
