Holidays without religion: Good without God. The American Humanist Association (AHA) is launching a national campaign this weekend. The campaign will feature ads proclaiming "No God? ...No problem!"This weekend, 200 buses and 50 rail cars in the Washington DC area will begin featuring the ads.
The campaign will then target the transit systems of New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The full text of the ad read: No God? ...No Problem! Be good for goodness' sake. Humanism is the idea that you can be good without a belief in God"

perfectly fine, as long as there are presents. Without the commercial aspect, this holiday would fall apart.

Yes, you are, Uni. But suppose you're out on the street, where are you going to eat your Thanksgiving meal? At a soup kitchen. Run by American Atheists? Nope. Run by the Sisters of Charity, the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, The Catholic Worker, or any of a number of religious organizations.....Why are there organizations called "Catholic Charities" or "Catholic Social Services" but none called "Atheist Charities"? When a natural disaster strikes, who sends out relief trucks? "The Atheist Army"? Nope. The Salvation Army. Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago- run by Evangelical Christians, not atheists. I could go on and on, but you get the point.

I'm all for the idea of expression, but I know the Jesus freaks will be highly offended by this. Yet they don't expect atheists and agnostics to feel offended when they incessantly preach. Let's see how this plays out.
